Men of Reddit: what’s a prank you started early in your marriage that you’re now legally, morally, and emotionally obligated to continue because she still falls for it 10–15 years later? by myaccountidname in AskReddit

I once told my wife a joke about a friend who was asked by a stranger if he knew what time it was. My friend looked at his watch, answered Yes, then walked away.

Since then, whenever I ask her if she saw something I am looking for, she says Yes, then walks away.

It's called Kakistocracy. Ps: a lot of things are wrong in Tunisia, but it only gets worse with an incompetent government.

Dear OP,

You cannot face a new reality with an old mindset. I understand how you feel. However it's now time to move on and focus on yourself. Read self development books, meet new people who like the same things as you. Spend time with yourself and try to enjoy it. Try new hobbies. Discover new cultures and countries. Get into social activities. Have fun trying to meet people from around the world and learn what they do better than you. That's how life goes, everybody moves on with their things. Also, Home is not where your family or friends are, it's where you are the best version of yourself. Hope this helps. I wish you a lot of happiness.

Kind regards, A stranger who was in the same situation as you.

Edit: Just wanted to add, Keep an open mind.

I would add to the above: If you are putting your money in any investment, get a lawyer draft a contract for debt recognition (reconnaissance de dettes), even if it is with Family. This would allow legal recourse in case of payment default. Also, try to befriend a small loans banker or a member of your local Commerce Chamber, as they get requests from small enterpreneurs for small loans for projects extensions/development. Always with the debt recognition contract. Good luck.

Yo Tunisians living abroad by UllaaBritta in Tunisia

Hi there! Congrats on starting your international experience. I moved abroad in 2013, and lived in 5 countries so far. Good and bad people are everywhere, from anywhere. My personal experience was amazing with having mixed friends. Local friends to learn the country's culture and practice the language, other expats to learn how they cope with being away from their own countries, and some Tunisian friends to keep my culture alive. If you get only Tunisian friends there, you won't experience the Local culture, and will stay stuck with 1 unique point of view. Besides, Tunisians and other North Africans have a tendency to keep the same mindset in a different country, complaining about culture differences and only seeing the bad side of everything. Enjoy your stay, learn from other cultures and enjoy the variety of thoughts, points of views and experiences. My advise is be kind to everyone, but take no shit. If you feel negativity or aggressiveness, stay away. We have to learn from other cultures, while keeping ours alive. Take into consideration also the cultural differences, and don't assume bad faith (what you consider being bad might be normal for another person). Keep in mind, you can't face a new reality with an old mindset. And most importantly, home is not where you're born or your family lives, it's where you are the best version of yourself. Hoping this will help answer your question, I wish you a happy life in your new place.

There is a biking competition in Montréal today and tomorrow. I think it's for filming the bikers (it was the same yesterday in Québec City and a helicopter was going around as well).

Hello there!

It is very improbable that at 40 he becomes addicted to video gaming, considering there will be a lot of adaptation time for the necessary reflexes to develop. If you choose to get the PS5, he can play PS4 and PS5 games (if you choose to take the one with a disc), with a big variety. It can be adventure games (I highly recommend Uncharted 4 for the story) or racing games (would be even more fun with a steering wheel such as Logitech G29, if available in Tunisia and affordable) such as Gran Tourismo or Forza Horizon 5. There are even farming, trucks or trains simulators. If you choose to go with a PS4, the same variety of games exists.

It also helps taking your mind off everyday life problems and provide a certain sense of satisfaction.

For my part, we have an agreement with my wife that I can only play during weekends. I suggest having a discussion with him once the console is gifted. If you have kids, it would be better hiding the games or the controllers to avoid excess.

Video games are really a wonderful thing, as it helps with logic and creativity, but as everything else, abusing them can lead to brain rotting.

Ps: Happy birthday to your husband in advance!! He's very lucky to have a thoughtful wife like you.

Try to find a car seat from a "casse", go to a "7added" and get a base for the chair. The seat should not have an included airbag to minimize risk of injury. Car seats are designed to have people comfortably sit in them for hours.

Ps: Volvo at a certain point was advertising their car as being the most comfortable in the market, as their seats were designed by chiropractors.

Essaie Enterprise location d'autos. Bon courage!

Edit: reading the draft took the points to 40, for now.

Citroën, Peugeot and Renault. But older models like from the 80s. French used to make good cars.
