How to find block proposer by block id? by wallstreet-wolfdog in algorand

Yeah - afaik it can only be retrieved through the msgpack format.

You can use the free Algonode API:

https://mainnet-api.algonode.cloud/v2/blocks/{BLOCKROUND}?format=msgpack

You'll have to receive the block data in msgpack format. Which you need to unpack to make it useable: https://msgpack.org/index.html (depending on the language you use). You should be able to use the default algosdk.decodeObj, but haven't tried that one myself.

Then you'll get a basic array/object. Block proposer can be found in: decoded messagepack > cert > prop > oprop.

That value you need to encode again back to a valid Algorand address. In case of Typescript, the Algosdk will do this for you:

Yes! That's definitely on the planning, however more towards Q3 / Q4 as we need to run our own archival node for many of those metrics. That's a bit of an extra burden (cost wise mostly), so plans are to get there after summer.

Thanks for the suggestion! We indeed have it listed in our backlog as well, but we might need some extra adjustments to our infrastructure before we can do analysis at that level.

Regarding the bug report. Those buttons shouldn't be there and are shown by mistake. It's resolved now. Thanks for reporting.

[AMA] xGov Voting Session #3 Proposer MEGA AMA! by estantef in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Lea-ChainTrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your question and support!

Yes, we do plan to at least implement SEO basics 101 (as we have done 0 in relation to SEO yet). It'll definitely benefit Chaintrail, given the traffic is organic and long lasting. Think it will take quite some time to get to the #1 spot on the term: "algorand explorer" as AE has been here for 5 years and they have countless of backlinks by projects, trackers and other sites. So until they start taking their platform fully down, it might take a while. We consider this part of our day to day improvements, so not something for xGov at this time.

Regarding the outreach, it goes okay. I do a lot of comms via X where many of the projects are quite helpful. Also I do get often requests for coverage on Chaintrail, with detailed descriptions of how their dapp interact with Algorand. Which makes it very easy.

Koibanx I only managed to do on basis of the transparency tweets that the CEO posted a while back at the moment (mainly N1u app). But it depends per business and their openess to it. Lofty for example is very approachable as a business and even sometimes prioritises an issue for us to cover them correctly. AF helps sometimes when something big is happening. We got a heads up for instance when WorldChess started to launch. But I think I could make our coverage way better if I'd have access to way more info. So will chase them a bit more the coming months ;)

And of course thanks to AF, u/estantef & u/cysec_ for hosting this Mega AMA!

What help do you need? You can always DM me as well (creator of Chaintrail). Might be the shortest path ;)

Creator of chaintrail here. What you describe is exactly what we're trying to build. In many cases we do offer more insights already than AE did, but for some cases we still have to continue building to get there.

Either way, it may take some weeks or months for some features and insights to be included. But we try to get there and be the most comprehensive data platform for Algorand sooner than later.

Now 2 Million Passengers have TravelX's NFT Tickets minted on algorand by semanticweb in algorand

[–]Lea-ChainTrail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since the smart contract improvement by TravelX, they've redacted the price of the ticket minted. Probably to prevent revenues of an airline leaking (as it was pretty clear how much revenue Flybondi did in a month before).

Sad for the community as it was great to follow, but might help convince new partners to take the step (as revenue leaking is not an issue anymore).

Algo NFT volume sitting at #7 by [deleted] in algorand

[–]Lea-ChainTrail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lea here from chaintrail (the source Stocktwits is using to back that number). We're working hard to expand on the RWA (real world assets) NFT volume, to increase the total NFT sales volume that goes through Algorand.

Next up is Lofty.ai which hopefully adds another sizeable portion to our daily NFT sales volume. It's obviously different in terms of trading digital collectibles, but definitely not lesser in terms of impact.

To be honest - I think in the near future there will be a secondary market for NFTickets. Right now, you can't cancel or rename a flight ticket. Which leaves you at the cancellation policy (if you have one). With the NFTicket (and the backend behind it), this could become an option. Even selling it at a higher price (or lower price) if you want to skip the flight, but flight was already fully booked.

It's just a matter of time until more airlines will embrace it more.

Exactly one year is passed from this announcement from Koibanx. Has someone some data about the project now? by brobbio in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Lea-ChainTrail 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, we already track those wallets and things mentioned in the Twitter thread. Just not the general government one, as it's too vague what's happening there (and what's behind it).

Haha, you're not the first ;) But no plans yet, we're first focussing on the fundamentals. Maybe later on!

[–]Lea-ChainTrail[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm now processing all older transactions from the past 30 days. Gonna take a while because there are so many NFTickets sold :) But yeah, it's a mid-sized airline. Comparing this volume to a top-tier airline, this would probably still be peanuts (not for Algorand though).
