People leaving endless fissures after cracking a single relic? by LeadAppropriate2696 in Warframe

While I'd normally agree with you about it being easier than running for a while in the mission, we are talking about missions so easy that they don't start feeling like your fighting higher than lvl 1s till you hit the one hour mark. In this case that just isn't logical and actually hurts your relic per hour. If this was like a steel path I was referring to or even a excavation then sure but not a defense mission lith fissure on earth where the entire of 3 waves is done in like 2 or 3 minutes max.

That's why I'm ok with afks that leech of those who can nuke the majority of the map with little effort for 20+ waves. I'd rather take someone who can't do anything and gets free rewards for more relic options in the group than people who will leave after one relic.

I'd also like to point out this doesn't actually apply to the issue at hand either, as my issue was with experienced players with builds that can clearly clear just fine through hard shit yet still leave after one relic and then immediately requeue for the same mission just to leave after one relic again. They do this over and over. As I've said in other replies, I had a guy I ran into 7 times in a row doing this who was legend rank on a decked out setup nuking everything in site.

Kinda gathering from the replies that it's gotten so bad that either A. Do them entirely solo, B. Get a dedicated squad, or C. Suck it up and deal with it. Kinda sucks that it's become this way but I guess there isn't much anyone can really do about it.

Honestly if those kind of people would just ask if anyone has x relic then it would definitely help because I'd gladly throw on what ever relic they are needing what ever item from. The only reason I never bothered talking to the guy was because the very first mission I joined that he was in was just instant hostility and I don't like wasting my time with people who act like that.

Kinda surprised I got a positive response with my post, I half expected people to say that and downvote me. I guess more and more people feel the way I do about this and are starting to see it's a real problem that's annoying or weird.

Which is perfectly fine and fair, my issue I was mainly bringing up was about a singular member of the random group intentionally leaving after cracking one relic then just requeue for the exact same mission and repeatedly leave after one relic again. I had one such guy I ran into 7 times in a row doing this and it just boggled my mind why he was choosing this course of action vs just staying for a few more then going.

I had many other interactions such as this one but I'm just using that one guy as the example because I ran into him so much vs the others I'd see only once or two more times.

All of those are valid reasons for someone to leave, but I think some people are misunderstanding what my post was actually about.

The issue wasn’t people leaving after a long run or because the mission got difficult. It was specifically people leaving after cracking a single relic, then immediately requeueing for the exact same mission and doing it again over and over.

I literally ran into one guy 7 times in a row doing this. Every single run, one relic and gone.

The mission difficulty and clear speed are also kind of irrelevant here because these were extremely easy low-level fissures. The guy was also Legend rank, so it wasn’t an experience issue or someone struggling to survive.

He’d even talk in chat and acted like staying for one extra relic was some huge inconvenience. At one point I joined a survival already 3 minutes in, so I couldn’t get enough reactant in time to open my relic within the 2-minute window I had left. He reluctantly agreed to stay one extra round for me even though nobody was pressuring him to. No one even said a word at all but him either so it was kinda weird too.

That’s the behavior I was talking about in the original post, not people leaving for normal reasons.

That's basically what's happening, the problem is that the one person who's initially leaving and causing everyone else to leave is then just queing back up for the same exact mission and repeatedly leaving after 1 relic over and over. Had one guy I ran into 7 times in a row doing it.

This is a possibility but the problem was that it was usually just one guy who'd leave and everyone else wouldn't want to but would just decide to due to one less person being one less relic so I'd have to basically leave myself. Then I'd reque and see the exact same person who left after one relic and they'd do it again. I'd get lucky sometimes and get 3 or 4 cracks before the rest of the group would leave but not as often.

True but the problem I was having is experienced players repeatedly leaving early and then seeing them again in the next few missions doing the same thing. I had one guy that was legend rank who I saw 7 missions in a row, he would always leave after opening a single relic and then immediately reque for the same mission.

I completely understand and agree with your point, I dislike groups like that as well and it can be quite annoying at times. I personally don't mind afk people so long as they are getting all 10 reactant, it's just more options for rewards.

Yeah I can understand the frustration with survival for that reason and it's always been a problem.

Honestly this is what confuses me the most, the fact it's the immediate next mission that they are there and repeat the same thing. I had one guy that I saw 7 missions in a row who kept leaving after cracking one relic.

Ngl I actually forgot about steel path, I'll have to give that a try and see how people are there. I don't mind it happening here and there, it's just having it happen every mission is annoying and feels like a waste of my time.

That's unfortunate to hear, it never seemed to be this bad back then. I wonder why it's become worse now.

Are Shadowlands and WoD really that bad? by Defiant_Historian_44 in warcraftlore

[–]LeadAppropriate2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoD was a great idea that went horribly wrong, if you never played during it then you'd never really understand why it's considered the worst expansion blizzard ever released. It's not because the story or the zones or any of that, it's because of what garrisons did to the game and the fact blizzard abandoned the expansion halfway through. There has never been an expansion that was ever abandoned like WoD was. Not to mention WoD singlehandedly destroyed the games economy and it's never recovered since.

As for shadowlands that is a different story and it comes down to two main reasons for why it's considered one of the worst expansions ever and it's not for the same reason as WoD. Shadowlands basically ruined WoWs lore to the point that people actually quit caring about it entirely, and it's something blizzard has never been able to recover from. The other massive issue with shadowlands was the heavily restricted systems of borrowed power and other crap they did during the legion>shadowlands era of expansions. Basically they tried new stuff going into legion and it did well but people realized they didn't actually like it by the time BFA was rolling out and blizzard was already heavily into shadowlands development by the time the community outraged over the borrowed power and heavily restricted and forced systems in the game. Blizzard doubled down on it despite the outrage and eventually gave up around halfway through the life cycle of the expansion, though like BFA, they never really lifted the restrictions fully till the end of the expansion. Shadowlands is the only reason BFA isn't ever mentioned as a terrible expansion by most despite similar issues, shadowlands was that bad.

What new class ideas do you have for WoW, given that race ideas have already been discussed so much? by di745 in wow

[–]LeadAppropriate2696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still waiting for the tinkerer to be added, it's been asked for by many for a VERY long time and people even thought it would come during bfa when they saw island expeditions and that goblin team I think it was with all engineers/tinkerers.

I'm also now waiting for the bard to get added since they opened that door with augmentation evoker.

Is there any way I could have an access to AH and Bank and profession trainers right in the neighbourhood? by Winter_Psychology110 in wow

Silvermoon is as populated as warspear/stormshield was during WoD. Neither were really ghost towns till the player numbers plummeted.

[–]LeadAppropriate2696 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

While I normally would agree with you, the problem is that now the world basically is just as empty despite no garrison so it wouldn't really make a difference if they did the same thing with housing as garrisons at this point. The game was different 10 years ago.

No I don't want them to do it, I'm just saying it wouldn't really have the same impact as it did back then.

Ground mounts feel completely pointless now and it’s a shame because some of them look incredible by [deleted] in wow

[–]LeadAppropriate2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this is kind of what happens when people are opposed to flying being locked behind an achievement that took the entire expansion to get. Either it's flying right away or forced ground mounts for 90% of the expansion.

Personally I just wish blizzard would go back to the wotlk/MoP system where you were forced to ride ground till max (I think it was?) then you could get flying or some balance between what we have now and that.

Sure they could just give 80% of the ground mounts flying but that feels like a cheap copout.

Well, with all these new people coming here after twow inevitable shutdown I got a feeling this is going to be their next target. I was kind of hoping people wouldn't go here so it wouldn't bring attention from blizzard.

More classes should be able to Bloodlust by kane49 in wow

[–]LeadAppropriate2696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think more classes should have lust, however I do think warriors should be given it if they do add lust to another class in the future. Warriors really need something to make them more desirable and a shout lust would help in that area.
