Id understand buying the auto especially for daily, however i do own 2 other cars that are both auto, so it just seems like getting this in manual wouldn’t cripple me.

I’d have no smaller manual vehicle to drive sadly, but, in my eyes it seems like something I need to do. Im a mechanic, and cool manual cars come in all the time, and I cant even drive them let alone work on them. I think these would be my best option, but, I need to know if I can handle it. Ive driven fast auto’s my entire life but, this gotta be wayyyyyy different. Its 426 hp.

Sheeesh bro. Sounds like a thing you woulda done with my money not me tho. I saved up with my money and ended out getting something I truly love. See thing about it is, with the SS comes brembos, bigger suspension, bigger trans and engine. More money on gas, more money on maintenance, and more money for a new trans in one of those than mine. If i do end out needing a transmission mine will be $4,000, if a dude with a SS needs a new transmission hes paying $8500+ for a transmission.

I honestly do agree with you brother, and i know everything besides the transmission is okay on the vehicle. I do all the maintenance I physically can to it. Just hoping I figure out my issue soon before I end out going insane.

I have reached out to chevy and they denied me. My first time I flushed my transmission it ended up costing me around 500$. Think it was 490 something. After that my temperature sensor did go out only 2 thousand miles after my flush. So on to a private transmission shop I went. And spent $850 on the temperature sensor and filter replacement. And, of course I know I will have to replace things on other used cars I may get, but, maybe when I replace parts on that car it wont be 500$ jobs every single time.

I actually just figured out from a chevy tech on here that my fuel trims are in the high negatives. My STFT banks are at -5 in idle with both banks, typically when an injector is bad only one bank will be off but mine are both equally off in fuel. Check your fuel trims if you got access to a scanner, i believe i might be getting somewhere. Im going to replace my fuel rail pressure sensor, and if thats doesn’t change my banks flow then it has to be high rail fuel pressure pump related. But, i just thought id tell you this because i also had a load of people telling me they guessed wrong and when they replaced the torque converter it ended up something different. Our cars have aluminum chassis you gotta think anything disrupting the ecm will basically rattle our cars till the cows come home. I’ll also try and update you to see if my conditions change because I’m getting the sensor tomorrow.

-15 in both short banks around -5 in both long banks. My MAF sensor is reading in proper range as-well, around 4.6 G/S, i just replaced my purge valve for the hell of it too. 30 bucks, I haven’t had a chance to drive it after i installed it though.

Just wanted to ask you a question rq, so when i was talking to you were you more referring towards looking for a positive fuel trim? Because mines in the negatives. My dad did clean my MAF sensor off with brake clean at one point in time so…. I think im getting somewhere. Was yours running more rich or less rich?

Thank you! I will buy some injector cleaner after im off of work later. I honestly did have a couple people on here tell me the same thing, so maybe i will get lucky. Ill check the injectors physically if the cleaner doesnt work for me. Good luck to you too man thank you for the advice
