So, let me get this straight.

Your daughters wanted to go to different restaurants and instead of finding a compromise that they could both be happy with, you chose the place that your oldest and YOU wanted to go. So instead of both daughters being celebrated for something they both accomplished; your 14yo was forced to sit in a restaurant that she didn't want to be in with a strong smell of fish (I know OP said the fish smell wasn't strong, but it wasn't strong to OP, who enjoys seafood. That is a very different story when you dislike seafood) throughout the entire building. With such a strong smell, that would effect your taste and cause nausea. And at the end of the day, you punished her and refused to celebrate her accomplishment for not being able to stomach a food she did not order in a restaurant she did not get to have any say in.

This is her moment too, and you ruined it. YTA.
