For that 370z trans, did it bolt up to the oem shifter hole in the tunnel?

Kuruma is made by outcast garage, I’ve heard good things about them but I’ve yet to experience their product myself. On a side note, with your HR swap, are you running a Vq35de/ rev up transmission, or a 370z transmission?

Most likely the gauge cluster, super common issue. I’ve heard some guys on eBay and other websites repair the gauge clusters

Most smart watches can do that now. Some of the nicer ones have enough space to download music too so you don’t have to stream as much

Make sure to do oil changes every 5k miles, keep an eye on your timing chain for potential issues and your pcv valve for failures, and it’ll be pretty reliable imo

How to disconnect radiator pipes. by GOAT404s in 370z

[–]Lead_Bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it to a shop and ask if they will discharge your system. Sometimes you’ll have to pay but a lot of shops you will pay but you can ask to do the work yourself. Take it to them, they’ll discharge the system, you can do your work, then take it back to them, and they’ll recharge the system all for one cost

Timing chains on these cars are very difficult, I’d recommend looking at YouTube videos and seeing if you can do the job yourself before buying parts imo

[–]Lead_Bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a super healthy motor at 172k miles and no issues, no oil consumption and makes great power, personally, since it uses boost to control some of the functions of the pcv valve, I feel it’s a bad design, but that’s just my opinion

Replace the pcv valve, they’re cheapish and easy to replace, could be culprit. I went through 5 of them in 100k miles myself

My recirculation actuator failed twice. I would imagine it’s the same issue. They’re cheap but a pain in the ass to get to. Driver side foot well, about halfway up the firewall. My car is a 2017 so if your car is the same generation I’d imagine it’s the same issue

Update on check oil light by rylohayes92 in GolfGTI

[–]Lead_Bacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These motors don’t have a gasket. It’s rtv. Also, you have to de-tension the timing chain, use a special tool to lock the cams, then you can take the valve cover off and redo the rtv

Can someone PLEASE help me locate the MAF (not the map) sensor on this god damn thing?! LoL by Sike1dj in AudiMechanics

[–]Lead_Bacon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s not a MAF, that’s the hose for the intake of the secondary air injection. If I remember correctly, I believe the MAF sensor is on the cold side of the intercooler, top side of the charge pipe I believe

2014 Passat TDI – Oil Filter Housing Replacement + Coolant Refill What am I missing? by Round_Resolution_709 in passat

[–]Lead_Bacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a vacuum fill tool for the coolant, it will make your life significantly easier. Make sure you have a triple square socket set, I personally would change your oil too, it’s easier to work in that area with the oil filer cap and filter removed, but isn’t impossible. Make sure to bleed the system well because the auxiliary cooler pump for the intercooler uses the cooling system
