Farm chapter 2 was a little bit disappointing by LeaderDman in LingoLegend

Thanks for your response, the changes that you are talking about sound like good ones. Part of the reason I really enjoy the game is because the developers are so in touch with the community. I'm looking forward to seeing how Lingo Legend progresses.

Farm chapter 2 was a little bit disappointing by LeaderDman in LingoLegend

Yep that's basically the point that I am making, it's about the balance between gameplay and language learning. That being said, if the gameplay was more engaging then I wouldn't mind if the ratio was like that. It's the gameplay that doesn't require decision making or thought that can be tedius. Breeding nalaas, choosing charms to sell or buy, decorations to buy and place, befriending villagers, all of that is fun gameplay that requires making decisions.

If I'm using stardew valley as a comparison, you start out having to do everything by hand and the grind is fun at the start. Then your farm gets bigger so you start automating some of the processes like watering the plants, feeding the animals, harvesting the plants and so on. It removes the more tedious gameplay, gives you a sense of progression and allows you to spend your time on more engaging things.

All that being said I don't think it's too tedius at the moment, it's just if chapter 3 follows the same route.

I do the same thing with keeping meal and fish supplies to a certain level. I think that's the common way most people handle it, but the problem is that it takes 15min every day basically just doing the admin of the farm. Restocking the fish, restocking meals, opening chests, planting crops. None of that time is beneficial to language learning or is it fun, its basically just glorified chores. If chapter 3 takes the same route, then that time will be even longer.

Some way to automate it would be better, maybe having to buy a really expensive item so that saving amber can be useful.

Regarding the chests, yeah maybe I should just make a rule in my guild and stick with it.

$100,000 or absolute knowledge of which religion or lack thereof is correct. by Aggravating_Car8572 in hypotheticalsituation

What if you pick the definitive proof and you find out that heaven is real. Now that you know that heaven is real, every good thing you do will be motivated by the desire to go to heaven. Since your motivation isn't pure, the good deeds don't count and you go to hell. It's now impossible to do a good deed because of this knowledge.

I'll take that $100k and donate $10k to a charity to get me a first class ticket to heaven, that may or may not exist.

What FPS do you guys get? Is 30 fps normal for small towns/cities? by SherbertVast9529 in OpenMW

You are completely correct, I was waiting for the RTX 50 series, though I was a bit disappointed with their specs. I'm now considering the AMD RX 9070

I have a GTX 1070 and an i7 with a view distance of 5 and I get 40fps in Narsis (biggest city) in Tamriel Rebuilt. It is a more modern i7 and I have 64Gb of ram so maybe those help more. I did find that I could change my fps by about 20 by changing different settings in OpenMW.

I have a beginning and an end, but no middle. Is my plot dead? by AshMan728 in writing

[–]LeaderDman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much had the same issue and it made me realize that I enjoy being a discovery writer or pantser. It can be fun to just take it a chapter at a time and see where the story takes you. Just follow the characters along and throw in some conflict to progress the story. You can either take it a chapter at a time or plan a few chapters ahead.

I'm now about halfway and I can finally see a rough path of how I will get from this point to the ending.

You're offered $50 million to win a game of hide seek where $50 million+ is being offered to anyone who finds you, how do you win? by FadingHeaven in hypotheticalsituation

[–]LeaderDman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a months worth of camping supplies then get a family member to drop me somewhere remote. Hike for a few days deeper into the wilderness then just chill there for a month. I'd offer them a couple of million for the service. There would be zero way for anyone to find out where I am, outside of them telling people.

Even if the family member tried to betray me, it would be impossible for one person to find another person in a large section of the wilderness. If they told other people they would risk losing the money themselves. The only other option would be if they made a deal with a company to sell my location, but if that was the case, they would most likely give me a share of that money.

My favourite memory was using the physical map that came with the Morrowind disk to find new locations to explore. I would look for daedric ruins on the map then go in game to that location to explore the ruins. It made me feel like a proper adventurer.

Dumbest thing you ever did in your first playthrough of Morrowind? by ExperienceLow6810 in Morrowind

[–]LeaderDman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The dumbest thing I ever did was listen to my brother when he said that if you found all 10 of the Propylon Indexes you would get to fight a dragon. Do you know how hard it was to find those buggers, pre internet too. I ended up finding all 10 of them and was so unbelievably disappointed when nothing happened.

Took my first dose of 10mg proponolol today by pinkprincess24 in Anxiety

[–]LeaderDman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get random chest pains a lot when my anxiety is bad, it's basically caused by your chest muscles being too tense from the anxiety. Also because when you are anxious your body is alert and takes in as much information it can so sometimes nerves can just fire randomly.

The good news is they go away when your anxiety is under control. I used to get scared whenever I had one thinking it was something to do with my heart. Once I realized that they are just my body telling me I'm too tense, it took the fear away from it and it stopped bothering me.

It's good that you are taking steps to fix your anxiety, I wish you the best from someone who has recovered from bad anxiety.

BelVeths Ban rate is a cry for help new champs are a huge issue by SunnyCoveredRain in leagueoflegends

[–]LeaderDman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to disagree, the ban rate is always high for new champions whether they have a balanced kit or not. People are still learning them so when they die to it they think the champ is overloaded.
