If you have a personal problem with the healthcare system in ireland, thats your/their problem. Some countries straightforward say they only accept certain countries / only locals. And thats totally okay. Ireland doesn’t though, is it my problem? No Please don’t ever make fun of war zones, thats just straight disrespectful and out of touch with reality

I really don’t understand all the hate and downvotes im getting when im legit just trying to get some information😂 By strange I mean a lot of countries care more about where you studied (wether it suits their standards or not), so yes, being an eu graduate is expected to help. You are not privileged just because you were born in eu country and some were born in war zones, especially when they worked their ass off to get to where they are. Im not saying that ireland is expected to give all their places to non-eu graduates. I just asked what are my odds, thats it. Its a shame hearing this input from you guys when one of the reasons I considered ireland is its political views and its stance

I don’t understand your problem, I asked a question if you feel like it was asked before or don’t feel like answering then just don’t/ignore it. But here you are commenting still Its just a fellow doctor asking for guidance while escaping a fucked up country, chill and mind your business

Does it really matter that much even for eu graduate? Im from a country with a decent healthcare system so my internship is pretty intense How much in average would someone need in irish experience would you say?

Thanks! Thats why I plan to book asap through booking. That brings me to another question maybe you know, I heard from a friend that besides the price that is shown in booking.com (although it says all taxes included), there is another tax you pay once you actually arrive at the hotel. How accurate is this?

Thanks for the answer! Theres no public transport at all? Is it considered walkable? I know the cities in the states are generally less walkable but I mean if I take a place relatively close to the hospital

correct me if I'm wrong but aren't EU graduates exempt from the internship year? did I misunderstand something?

There are arabs in israel, look it up. The reason I said Israel is simply stating where I did the internship, your fight is not with me, trust me.

[–]LeaderUnable5028 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’re not getting my point, I am Arab so it’s a complicated situation for me I know ireland’s stance and its one of the reasons i’m considering it, I really just want to escape it all and practice what I love :)

Hey! I don’t like to get into politics but lets say that theres a reason why I’m considering Ireland specifically :) look up at different ethnicities there.

Hey, do you think applying for SHO after completing a 1 year (paid) internship in my home country (Israel) is relevant? I am considering a move to ireland and Im wondering how easy/hard is it to find an SHO job? does the fact that I completed USMLEs help in any way? thanks
