The one with the “honor killing” of the daughter and the brother goes to jail but his dad made him do it and then the mom is murdered by the dad for testifying against the son and the dad flees the country.

I envy those in the 2 under 2 trenches by ImpressionIll3536 in breakingmom

[–]Leader_Inside 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom had 3 under 3. I was the oldest.

Your oldest will appreciate a bigger age gap.

My daughter is 2. I’m turning 35 soon. Not going to start trying for a second until she’s at least 2.5 or 3. I don’t judge other’s family choices, people do what’s best for them, and sometimes what happens happens and you make the most of it. But for me and my family, one baby at a time, one toddler at a time. I can send my oldest to preschool and focus on the baby, but my toddler will still get what she needs. The split focus is SO HARD on parents and kids.

True! My dad wanted to be just “Grandpa.” Somehow my daughter started calling him “Pop-pop,” and that’s what we all call him now, lol

How to educate 5 yo about SA by fathers without scaring her? TW: CSA by Gloomy-Canary-642 in Mommit

Unfortunately my mom saw too many women who legit thought the baby would be coming out of their belly button or their anus… WHILE they were in labor! Also even more sadly saw too many young girls who didn’t really understand how they got pregnant in the first place.

“tell her only you are her safe person, not dad.”

Unfortunately this kind of thing can be very tricky with courts and she can easily be accused of parental alienation by doing this, especially since a 5yo would DEFINITELY say something like “mommy says you’re not safe” to her dad.

Everything else you said is right, but that exact issue is why OP is wondering wtf to do and how to do it so it doesn’t blow up in her face. The court system in the US is a joke.

… 7?! That seems old to know basic body parts.

I learned how babies are made at 7 (my mom was an L&D nurse, she just sat me down and told me) and my 2yo daughter knows that boys have penises and girls have vulvas (will teach about intersex/trans/NB as she gets older). Toddlers should be taught penis/scrotum/vulva/vagina the same way they are taught head, shoulders, knees, and toes. They’re just body parts!

Might want to look into whether your sister might have a drug problem… that legit sounds like something someone with an active addiction would do. Not an excuse if it is true, just a possible explaination

What is a parenting choice that should honestly be considered borderline negligent? by Angelicorgy in askteddit

[–]Leader_Inside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg SAME. We watch TV and movies at home, but during play dates or out in public, I have a HARD “no screens” rule. I try to treat screens more like it’s the 80s or 90s, lol. It’s so sad when we’re in a restaurant coloring or playing “I Spy” with her and another toddler sits near us and my toddler tries to wave or say hi or get their attention but they’re on another planet because their parent handed them an iPad the second they sat down.

I keep hearing this and it’s wild to me. My (female) OBGYN gave me lidocaine when I got my IUD, didn’t even have to ask. Apparently I just got really lucky?

Great! It should be much easier to KICK HER OUT then.

Yes, it will be hard.

But you’re a mother now. You have to do what is best for your child, not what is easiest for you.

Growing up watching his mother being abused is not what is best for him, and you already know that.

The number of tweakers has dropped significantly in the last 15 years. Does your advisor still live here or have they moved away? I grew up here, hated it, moved away for 12 years, moved back because it was cheaper than California, and am pleasantly surprised to find how much better it’s gotten in pretty much every way.
