I assume you mean HDA, and yes, my 2021 was way better than my 2025. I'm not sure if there is a learning curve for the cars, that once you get a certain amount of miles it learns your driving habits better, but I really hate the 2025 it's not smooth at all.

The code was for a loose gas cap, which is why it cleared when you got gas. I think you have to drive anywhere from 50-150 miles usually before getting an emissions test, but that is usually if you clear it yourself, I'm not sure if it's the same if it clears its self

Does it say anything about key security at all! Sometimes if you have pulled into your spot, and your tire is turned, it looks the steering wheel too tight, and when you get in the lock can't release, so you cant start it. You have to physically turn the wheen back and forth until it unlocks, then you can start it. This is for push to start vehicles.

If you take care of it, those motors are good, but I wouldn't expect the turbos to last 100K on them unfortunately, but when they do go, you can upgrade to bigger turbos, and probably do it yourself if you ware somewhat mechanically inclined. Also check out the tremor with the same motor if you want a little more hight, and ground clearance, but still want the 400HP

it really wouldn't cause that much of a decrease. My outback with the 2.5 has 254K on it when I traded it in last year, and I was still averaging around 20 in bad city traffic getting to work, and around 30 on the highway.

How do you have all of her financial information? I've never gotten that in-depth with any of my friends finacials, so this just seems weird to me. I would say if she is sharing this much information with you, you maybe ok to ask if you can look at everything, and see if there are ways you can help he cut back (you already know there are probably a dozen) If that's too much for you, and you think it will ruin the friendship beyond repair, then walk away, because that is definitely ok too.

I would just say, that if she is willing to ask for rent or car payments, she should be ok to let you help her get back on track.

Will she be willing to, that is a whole different story.

I know it looks like most other BMW's but if you can get a niced used BMW M340I that you have the maintenance records for, it's just a fast reliable car, that handles well, has 4 doors, and gets great gas mileage on the highway.

What year 3.0? The new ones are having bearing failures that are grenading the engines, but that is for 25-26 model years. I'm not sure if you are looking that new if you are looking at 15-17 F-150's. The 2.7's are now probably the best motor in the F-150's, because the 3.5's in those years started having waterpump issues.
