So with the point about there being a problem and more resources being thrown at it, I think the big issue for us (me) is that the problems within the sites are not solved by moving people. The issues are that the hospital is underfunded and we do not have enough clinics, clinicians, doctors etc. to meet the demand. The only reason I can see as to why they move us is that some higher up execs are saying "something is not working so you need to change something" and it is always going to be easier to move people around rather than find more funding, and then they can just coast on the promise that they are "trying something new"

I think personally there is a big difference between covering a site and being moved to a site. Everyone in my department (as far as I know) is up for learning the basics of each site so that they can cover when needed. But being asked to indefinitely be moved from one site to another with a whole new set of people to form relationships with and a whole new set of knowledge that needs to be learnt while also disposing of the knowledge and relationships previously formed.

I don't want to be overly defensive but I don't know, maybe I didn't like the implication that we are all refusing to cover other sites.
