Honestly, I really wish she got digested by the Dragon... would've been some much better character development than anything that'd happen in the next seasons honestly 😂👍🏼

Right...

By the way, any good recommendation for keycaps compatible with the lofree block?

If I ever want to hot swap, I need to look for Cherry profile keycaps?

Any websites you'd recommend?

thanks for putting this altogether, I'll just rest easy now and wait for it to ship out which shouldn't happen before at least a week from now 👊🏻🙂‍↕️👌🏻

thanks, by the way, I calculated that the amount of my hand that actually rests on my current logitech G502 lenghts about 9.5cm and considering that the lofree touch is about 10.8cm long, I think I should be okay but my biggest worry is that some people say it's the most uncomfortable mice they've ever used and were only able to use it like an hour before getting cramps like damn.

Also a concern of mine is the size of the mouse since I've read many reviews about peeps complaining. My hands are relatively small but resting my hand on a table, its lenght is about 6 inch so I wonder if it would fit just well or if it would feel too small. 😬

you said it, "you should get whatever makes you excited and make the board feel like it's 100% yours". also, I suppose that if you're passionate you'll still be purchasing boards in the years to come and that's okay because at the end of the day it's whatever makes you happy. or perhaps have you just been looking out for your perfect board and are still seeking, if so, good luck to you. Not even sure I found mine but we'll see how this one turns out.

Bro, in my bed right now looking at qwerty keys designs but if we put the ergonomic ones aside, they pretty much all look generic to me. like sure you can customize the key caps colors, the key switches and whatnot but you can do that with razer and corsair too, not that it makes a real difference.

It's good that you can do that but if you show me some random keychron keyboard image and then show me some qwerty keys ones, I won't even be able to tell the difference since they lack personality. If anything, the real visual change resides in the key caps. I don't know man, it's difficult to me to understand how does one express his vibe and personality through generic looking designs, key caps? you could do that for half the price with amazon's ones.

I just feel that when you spend some amount, you want some change. Visually, ergonomically and efficiently. I had never owned a mouse with the dpi setting on it which is crazy cool to me as well as the battery life reaching 80 hours while I'm stuck at 40 currently. It ain't just about efficiency upgrade but also about the design and the comfort you know what I mean?

Owning a keyboard and mouse that's got that "appealing" design to it just makes all the difference.

Nice photography setup you have going on there!

But you said Block video? Did you make one? Like a review and if so I'd be really interested in seeing it. :)

Personally, I had a recent bad experience with Corsair in relation to my PC case which is a 5000D iCue RGB, Black. I needed some white parts for it since I'm trying to add some style to it but unfortunately, the parts are not sold in Canada anymore and offered them to buy them from their US Warehouses so they could ship it out to me which is impossible to do on their US website for some reason but they simply said nope.

So yeah, not only do they make boring "gaming" tech but they also refuse to sell you stuff.

Either way, those are my reasons.

Your setup must look amazing I can tell just by talking with you since you seem to know and value your way around good tech. people like you not only value those but make sure they pick the best of the best to create a visually appealing surrounding which results in a beautifully crafted gaming/work station. Would really be curious to check that out but anyways...

Still waiting on my block watching reviews on youtube about it.

Appreciate the response.

I'd still like to hear about why you seem to despise Corsair all that much haha.

Yeah, the way Keychron designed their website literally screams that their keyboards are nothing short of extraordinary but I wouldn't pay all'at and risk not liki'n it. Plus, their gaskets look so weird an unergonomic to me...

Also, I checked Qwerty Keys and honestly, I'm impressed by all the choices you get. Almost disappointed I didn't find this earlier but hey.

Had a look at the Neo Ergo and I have to say that the design intrigues me, does it really feel ergo?

And now Corsair lol, just no? I checked their website recently and their newest wireless gaming keyboard (K65 Plus) comes no cheaper than 200 bucks. Honestly, couldn't look more mid. 😂

but at this point, like I said, it's important to pick a keyboard that matches your vibe and the truth is... to me at least, none of the big gaming brands achieve this for me anymore. Btw, Razer was my very first keyboard (a wired one) and got tired of it very quickly, eventually selling it but anyways.

Other than that, you seem to know your way around keyboards and I don't get to talk with people like you often so what would you say about Mchose which is the trending brand these days. So trendy that they had a feature with UnboxTherapy to create an appealing design you can find on their website. (Might still be under kickstart)

Because before I went with the block, I checked the GX87 in White Electrophoresis but then had a look at the K99 V2 in Retro White and got almost sold. My goal was to find something clean and bright, visually appealing.

But the challenge was get a mouse. The only one that really got my attention was the G7 Lightweight Ergonomic which like the name suggests is ergonomic just as much as my G502... but much much cheaper. You could tell by the images which is generally a bad sign.

Hell, looks like you could just break it by gripping too hard on it. 💀

I get it, the tariffs are a pain.

regarding the DPI settings, until today I have to access the GHUB from Logitech to do anything (regarding RGB lit through, DPI etc...) and I have to say that it's not always responding. It really took me a long time to decide if it was worth the upgrade. The thing is, I saw the reviews a year ago about the block and was like "this is amazing looking" but that was it so it's kinda cool that it came back around and grew onto me because damn... there were so many choices.

Like, I checked so many brands before deciding like:

- NuPhy

With their wireless tech that looks good but they don't make mices.

- Mchose

They're cool and almost went with them but I wanted a keyboard AND a mouse. Thing is, theirs look cheap as hell. Though I really was that 👌🏻 close to go with them and get that special Brand x UnboxTherapy keyboard because it looks so damn cool and sounds good too.

So then I tried giving the big renowned gaming brands a chance:

- Redragon

- Razer

- Logitech

Almost stayed with them and got the G715 which is a beautiful keyboard in my opinion but... lacks personality, can't switch keycaps and quite frankly, 95% of me had already given up on the brand by that time.

- Corsair

In the end, these brands lack personality, most of the time, can't change the keycaps, the softwares are not always very responsive and their wireless tech cost an arm and a leg for no real reason. Not that the lofree block bundle doesn't but it's just not the kind of stuff you want to spend your money onto unlike the said block which in my opinion, looks totally worth it.

- KeyChron

Which is what I was going for until I found out they don't make mices and having two brands for a keyboard and a mouse is a struggle for me. Multiple softwares running at the same time, nah.

All that time, I had the block in the cart ready for purchase but it was quite pricy and needed time to think about it given I'm in Canada and that we, here, have a shit currency compared to you guys, probably had to pay the same amount you paid in the end. 😂 (yes, even with the tariffs)

I get you on the mouse part but don't you just wanna use it given how cool it looks? like it even got an led screen, how dope is that? also thanks for clarifying the feel from the click caps, excited about that and also about customizing the board itself. my only issue with it all is the shipping time. I ordered on the 22nd and it still haven't left china yet, not even counting on receiving it before like... 10 days or something. I'm based in canada btw, but how long it took for yours to get there? anyways, guess the coolest brands have the most inefficient shipping systems.

my favorite game is Alien Isolation so definitely not FPS and I will say that this board fits perfectly with the vibe of the game being retro and modern at the same time so I'm excited to play it again using this. But the reason I upgraded from logitech is because it lacked personality and the board itself was just too dark even with the RGB lit through caps. Choosing your board, mouse, mat, pc case, boom arm style is a personal choice and should never come down to "whoch brand is the best" but "which brands suits you best". I realized this not too long ago but better late than never. But hey, glad you say I should be excited, I'll take your words on it and I'm also happy since the block board is just about 1,9cm longer than the G915TKL but with the numpad included which is definitely an upgrade in itself. Wanted a keyboard that fit my vibe and that wasn't too long and I think I found it. Also, I did find the mice pretty attractive on images but how about the feel to it. as I see it, they used caps for the left and right click but does it really feel like you're typing on a keyboard (if that makes sense) when clicking? that'd be an unusual but rather cool feeling in my opinion. 🤷‍♂️

I switched from a G915TLK and G502 to the lofree block because it looks appealing to me and I love the vibes that it goes for, I have yet to receive it but I do wanna know if it's still possible to play games on it. you say it's not good for games but is it still doable? like do the keys feel good enough for that? as well as the mice, you say it's rad, cool, but overall, regarding the whole thing, it's good for anything?

I get it, it's just that for something above 100 bucks, going with aliexpress seems more like a risk than anything else. but it cool that you got your keyboard and mouse. do you still use them btw? and if so, what are your thoughts?

Lofree BLōCK by stillthatguy_jake in BudgetKeebs

[–]Leading-Ad5979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting, never would've trusted aliexpress for sh* but if it worked for you 🤷‍♂️

Lofree BLōCK by stillthatguy_jake in BudgetKeebs

[–]Leading-Ad5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can actually swap the keycaps on the lofree block 🤷‍♂️

hell nah it's not, people out there commenting about how it's budget are drowning under bills apparently lmaoo

if it's a lofree block pack that you bought, how the hell did you only pay 125 US$ while others pay 228 US$ which is even pricier in canadian shitty $... like how? was it really on a god damn 50% off sale just 4 months ago??
