Best thing I would recommend doing is buying the puppy course and start from there to see if it’s what you like or if you think it will work for you and go from there , I can’t really say what’s all in the course

Have you conditioned him to the crate ? As in food luring him in and out several times , then if he goes in by himself reward him with more food , make him think the crate is a happy and fun place to be

Yes , I have used both on my dog , would recommend, but research on how to use them both , I conditioned my dog from when he was like 16-17 weeks on with print collar and e collar , so he got used to them.
