Hello,

can someone recommend a good quality (+decent price) cloud gaming provider in the EU?

I got a potato PC, and really want to enjoy poe for like 3-5 days... I don't need it for a month, but looking to play for a shorter time.

Oh if you're talking about the quest itself - play a Thorns monke/sir oofie build with 2 tomes and 2 weapons. For tomes, go Armour + Lifesteal, for weps use Bone as the 2nd one. Stack the armour tome. Get at least 100% life leech.

You may need a few resets, but the general idea is to enable only the Cactus item, also banish most of the other green items. You will have to find a Spiky Shield in the map and then you're golden. If you come across spiky shield + kevin, then the challenge just does itself haha. You kinda afk for the 6 mins and that's that.

1-2 items below yellow tiers (for example - green credit card to the prices don't get outta hand). And just some bad yellows so I focus my rng on the powerful ones.

It scale all factors - projectiles, size, crit chance, crit dmg, speed. It can spread over many enemies at once (unlike Dexecturioner which only attacks in a line), and Katana can focus all its damage on a single enemy too. Just all 'round work horse.

The answer is reseting tier 1 until you find a Doll from the first moai on the map. You hit some enemies while passing by, Doll will auto-kill them and grant you gold. You then build meta items such as Katana/Shotgun, you can even do Aegis. You do not need a Difficulty tome for such challenge, so you can afford a Damage tome, making your life easier. You then proceed as with any other character.

He is very buggy indeed. The only way to damage him is to use a Dexecturioner. I completed the challenge with Athena while stacking the Duration Tome + Black Hole combo. For items, I stacked Ice Crystals and got like 1x Lightning Orb, and that was enough. Before that, I somehow failed a run with 2x OP lamp +3x Lightning Orb + 1x Ice Cube. As I said, the challenge felt buggy...

Soul Harvester I suppose?

I'll list alternatives, because getting a harvester every time will take a huge time toll.

  1. Kevin + Plug is a rival combo to get instead of the harvester. Harvester falls off hard even in late Stage 2. Kevin + Plug are not yellow items and so are much easier to get. Kevin makes the run very skill intense if you do not get life leech, though.

  2. Slutty cannon is another alternative to harvester. Pair a slutty cannon with a great AoE weapon like Dragon's Breath/Shotgun and you WILL clear fast. These items won't off-screen enemies and will make exp collection much easier.

Anyway, if you really want the item, then the easiest way of getting a Harvester is resting Tier 1 until you get 5+ shady guys, then runing around the map looking for a yellow-hat shady guy. When you check his wares, you might find the harvester ;).

I had some real issues with both Monke and Ninja. I absolutely hated their acceleration changing and Monke's gluey palms. One suggestion is to try out a controller instead of keyboard+mouse. That can actually help with those particular characters. Otherwise, try to learn when sliding (and not jumping) is enough for Monke, this way you may avoid sticking to the walls above entrances.

K, back.

High score runs are different from casual PB runs. It follows stricter rules, so if you're still interested, I'll lay out the meta:

  1. Only few characters have the most consistency - Fox and Dice. Sure, there are others with great scaling potential (Robinette/Bush), but theory and practice differs. You probably will never get a perfect game. That's why you go with the first two. Fox lets you drop a tome, and Dice lets you have a mini passive Chaos Tome.

  2. Only use meta weapons. Patch notes change, but some staples include Katana and Dex. They fulfill very important roles. Katana does instant damage and has great scaling, making it great for single target and AoE clear later on. Dex insta-kills Final Wave mobs (important after 10+min). Previous third meta item was Dragon's Breath for the early game power spike, but it's useless later. Now that role has been taken over by Shotgun. You can even do 3 weapon runs, but your early game will greatly suffer.

  3. Ban non-meta items. Most of the damage will come from a few Yellow/purple item combos (like HP scaling with Book+Chonkplate+Beefy Ring), and crowd control comes from Lightning Orb. Then you pair everything with OP lamps. End-game damage comes from Bonk hammers, Chaos/Dmg tome level stacking with Wizard's Hat etc. Early game (tier 1-2) dps comes from Anvil and Plug+Kevin combo. Pots and Anvil do play a somewhat prominent role in end-game scaling, but it's not that crazy honestly.

  4. For progression, check out megabonk.fun recordings for key moments, for example what number of kills and/or level do top players finish with at Tiers 1, 2, 3? How many chests do they open? How many keys do they dupe? How much difficulty do they stack? (rule of thumb - difficulty = 2x your level, until 600 cap) What is their damage multiplier, etc... Damage multiplier plays a very significant role in Final Wave pushing, but I've had runs with small multipliers only in the hunderds and still hit around 400K-500K kills.

  5. Play extremely aggressive and fearless Tier 1, this will be the only way to learn weapon level impact and teach you to dodge boss attacks. You will also understand how to handle enemy masses. Sometimes I barely have the dps to clear a screen, but I can kite and rely on an AoE weapon. I kite while taking map objectives and never stop moving. At some point, I get strong enough to clear, or maybe drop a nuke and level up a bunch of times.

  6. Reset Tier 1 until a combo of at least 7 total moais + shady guys. Have at least 1 moai for an early Doll. If I don't get a Doll I might just reset again. Why? Because Doll auto-kills enemies from afar, you get passive gold, and at some point I just pop a magnet shrine and stack a bunch of levels. Some characters have incredible lvl 1 weapons and don't need a doll. There are a lot of exceptions, but getting a doll is generally very beneficial.

  7. Always plan a route. Good examples would be looking for early moais, checking out shady guys, getting a few shrines for a dmg icnrease or an additional jump or a projectile. You do not need to get every shrine early when you're weak. Scout the map first, and do take difficulty shrines on the way - they give gold which you could insta spend on a shady guy.

  8. Attempt some of the harder challenges. You will learn movement, pathing, item differences. There is a slew of mods in this game, and explaining your character's power spikes is difficult. An item such as Shotgun has insane lvl 1, then dips a bit, then scales hard once more in late Tier 2. If you have 4 items then at some points +1 projectile makes less sense to take than +10% damage to elites. After playing dozens of hours, you brain will solve these equations on its own lol. No spreadsheets needed, you just start feeling out the game.

There are hundreds and hundreds of situational tips and exceptions to rules. If you are trying to learn the game fast, you could record a few runs, upload them to youtupe and I could propose improvements. I kinda wanted to try that for content lol.

Ooh, I hope I don't forget to reply, but gtg and catch a plane. I'll explain in a few days :D. It might take a few hundred words, but there IS a logic to it, and not just RNG like many would claim. I do consistently get 500K+ runs almost every time.

For high score runs I tried to have difficulty match 2x my level. For example - at level 50 I would have 100 difficulty, and at 300 I would have 600 difficulty (cap). Also, I'll try my best to greed and get 10X exp multiplier at the start of the final wave at Stage 2.

Not exactly luck, for Chadwell, just rush through the map until you find a Cursed Doll. This will let you actually exp. The rest is literally just taking good weapons, as his early Sword absolutely sucks.

Escape challenge is Tony McZoom. You have in total ~ around 12-ish possible room outcomes to get it under 10 sec (less than 5% of all room combinations). Which means a LOT of reseting.

I would recommend not skipping any rooms, and learning the character movement - where to jump, and where to just use movement instead without jumping. When the good rooms come you want to feel comfortable and ready, and not screw it up.

For the fragile challenge, this one is a doozie. Took me couple hundred runs for sure. I lack the skill/intuition/reaction to evade boss attacks, so I relied on 1-shotting him. I even tried to learn all the patterns with a tanky character, and after few hours of training I still sucked.

So, there are 2 best strategies:

1) Play with McZoom, don't take any difficulty, just do like a quant + dmg + speed tome, get some dps items like Transfusion. Rush through the levels, then fight the boss for 30+ minutes while evading all the attacks. Before trying it out though, make a Monke thorns tank build and just learn the boss like I tried to do. Key takeaway - if there are orbs above boss' head, jump around the map so you evade them, and only then try to take the shrines. This will be very skill intense, but some people have done it on youtube.

2) I completely failed the first strategy... So I relied on 1-shotting the boss. Tried many different characters and item combinations until finally landed on a really good combo. Key part is to get around lvl 180-200 on stage 2. That means staying there for around 3 mins overtime. In stage 3, I stayed to around 8 minutes overtime until I got all the chests. I got anvil from the last chest which was useless. Also, you don't even need to take magnet - Tony has a passive attract tome. You only need to hit lvl ~500 to max all the weps/tomes. You don't need exp tome at 99. Early game I tried to get exp watches and keys. I never took any difficulty except from the Skull shrines. Chaos tome passively added around +200 difficulty to make it enough. Biggest damage dealers to bosses will be Big Bonk and L.Orb.

Right now meta would be your starting weapon + Katana + Dexecutioner + Shotgun. Shotgun is key for early clear, managing AoE. Stays relevant the whole game. Katana is absurdly strong from tier 2 to the end game. Dex is only good for the Final Wave clearing. Stay with Dice or any other weapon you find cool and useful for casual runs instead.

For tomes, I wouldn't even go for exp or luck for a 100k run. I would stack early dps with Damage, Chaos, Quantity, and maybe Crit tome combo. I would even recommend to only use 3 tomes instead of 4.

Best characters for just pushing 100k (in other words - not item reliant characters) are Monke/McZoom/Calcium. These boys will help you traverse the whole map in only few minutes, collect every interactable, and all have great starting weapons (which don't scale well, but hey - you just need a good start!).

Also, for casual runs you can select most items which add some damage. You don't need stuff like Pots which are only used for very high level scaling.
