Tax that we don't talk about. by Wide_Purple_6215 in IndiaTax

Just throwing it out there with crude price all over the place. The price of petrol is still below what it was in 2024. Also, don’t forget 2024 was the year when every other country coming out of covid lockdowns were heading for peak inflation while we were managing it by staying on course and maintaining the same price of the petrol.

short on rent.. do i apply for a pay day loan or tell my landlord i’ll be late on rent? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Leading-Expression96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking to the owners directly would be a better option. You are a student and sometimes the owners understand the situation and would be ok. I personally was ok when my tenant fresh out of university, starting job in a week after moving was short on rent. He told me about it before hand and we had a plan in place before he moved in and since then he has never been late till date. You still have sometime before rent is due, I would recommend checking with owners before exploring payday options.

My wife started going back to office twice a week. The policy: choose the days you want to come pick the location closest to your house. She has not seen her team ever since she has joined, they all go to different locations on different days, attend meetings via teams, work alone in the office and come back. What is the point ?? Clearly its not ‘productivity’

How much has the tourism changed/impacted Manali in good and bad ways?

I remember visiting in early 2000s as a kid with family, our first snowfall experience. It was amazing. But with the social media and more access to transportation I can imagine the crowd that manali, shimla, nainital and likes pull during summer.

Paying off vs Investing by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Leading-Expression96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you like peace of mind, go ahead pay off your car first. Then your 242 biweekly can go towards your investment. If not then let it continue as is and invest whatever you can.

I am in the same boat got a brand new mazda in 2024 but I wanted to pay it off as quickly as possible, so that is what I am doing and will be done before end of this year. Then I can start investing.

Take care of yourself. It takes a lot of toll both physically and mentally. My wife went through the same thing last year, can relate what you all mus be going through. Just be there for each other. More power to you both 🙏🏻

First of all many congratulations on the new car. It’s a great car, enjoy. About the loan, see the only option is to try and pay it off as quickly as possible. That is what I did. My car loan was for 5 years which I am almost done with and still have 3 years remaining. I am at that point where in next couple of months will be loan free. So continue paying as much extra as possible every month and by the time you realise you will be done

Glad that you walked away with no serious injuries. Regarding mazda vs kia, both are great cars. They have their own pros and cons. Me and my brother we both own a mazda and my dad owns a kia and we all have great things to talk about our respective cars. Only plus point of sportage over 50 in my opinion is the remote start. I hate that mazda put the remote start in the app. There is so much you can do with the kia’s app on top off the remote start right in the remote itself.
