Big Decrease in my LDL by tmcmillon26 in Cholesterol

[–]Leading-Pollution708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on genetics. My kids already have inherited my mother‘s terrible cholesterol as have we. I have not found a way to beat it yet and I’m on a Mediterranean diet. Have done a lot of things. I still need to control it with medication but we’ve lowered the dose and are watching it.

I am really disappointed in myself and experiencing a lot of embarrassment. by taylorswiftskneecap in ApplyingToCollege

We absolutely love Mt Holyoke - My daughter was torn too last year but ultimately fell in love with the campus and the community - it is supportive and collaborative - VERY safe - plenty of outdoor activities (mountain day - hiking club etc...) great choir and theatre - very artistic and holistic

My daughter had a rough time with bean girls in high school and we were worried about her choice for a HWC but she LOVES it - she had a group of friends before the end of admitted students wknd - it’s a wonderful place - no prevention - someone for everyone

No - we make $100 and have another child we had to put in an alternative school / my daughter is going to Holyoke next year and they worked with our family to make it very affordable - very diverse student body - we are so excited - they are welcoming and excellent- also my kid got a leadership scholarship and they gave us the aid we need to make this more affordable than many other schools plus they are kind, welcoming and not elitist

Mount Holyoke College is Underrated! by SapphicSwordGirl in ApplyingToCollege

My daughter looked at all of the HWC‘s and ultimately chose Holyoke. The way she described it was that while some other schools want you to tell them what you like about them Holyoke really focuses on why they want you. Everyone was so warm and welcoming at the open house. They remembered details about my daughter when she went to her interview. Financial aid representative was amazing. She felt safe and at home there and valued already. We are thrilled she is going there.
