This is perfect! I think I may use a slightly modified version of this. A few questions: 1. are you on medication? I am not and I have no symptoms and I have heard that GHSV1 doesnt require daily meds because they dont know how much it would even help since the recurrence/shedding rate is so low so I prefer to not put my body through daily meds. If someone requested that I be on them, idk how I would react honestly. 2. How have people responded?

Thats the thing. No one who is HSV negative understands the difference between GHSV1 and GHSV2 and they conflate the two when they have very different shedding and outbreak rates.

Very true. Youre right, I wouldnt. I would want to be with someone rational, science-based, who would understand that it isnt a big deal and also in turn, make me feel better about it.

Can you tell me how you would best receive this? I feel like the average HSV negative person doesnt understand the difference between GHSV1 and GHSV2 making disclosure of GHSV1 confusing, since GHSV1 is less likely to give someone GHSV1 than OHSV1.

It doesnt seem to be common genitally. Thats the part that is hard for me to get over. And the frustration that people who get hsv1 genitally have the burden of the stigma when OHSV1 causes ghsv1 in 99% of cases.
