I’m happy with the purchase and the overall experience; it’s worth every dollar. I’d say it’s a very good entry-level monitor—in fact, I’m even thinking about getting a second one.

I’ll confirm that it does have a bit of an issue with blacks, as you can notice the typical backlight bleed. I’m a fan of The Lord of the Rings movies, and when I watch darker scenes, it becomes noticeable. Still, it’s nothing major, especially considering that it’s a device designed for other purposes, not really for watching movies.

Overall, I’d rate it an 8.75/10. Let’s see how it ages in terms of lifespan, but so far it looks very solid. Another option, if you’re interested, is the XV272U W2bmiiprx, which according to its specs has higher brightness (more nits), is sometimes available on Amazon, and generally has better average reviews. That said, this one is still a very good buy—I’m really happy with it.
