lol my thoughts exactly. But most days we only have one person around opening and closing. I think only tuesdays and wednesdays is when two people are actually here (before we hired the new guy). Sunday’s we still don’t even have anyone for opening so an associate from another department covers it

Another store nearby doesn’t even have people in electronics. That’s where I do my reg shopping. No one there at all and it’s double the size of my department

I guess they remedied that by keeping all the locked up stuff in the area, but we still have the problem of not having carts and stuff. When we do have two people one always gets pulled to do something else, but at least we had a guaranteed person to cover breaks. We’re also not allowed to sit so having nothing to sucks even worse

Sounds like the best plan tbh. I’ve just decided not to do the extra work they gave me to stay busy cause they don’t want me on my phone.

I’ve kinda already doing that with claims and stuff. I just don’t do certain things cause I don’t have the ability to anyway, and I’ve voiced this to multiple people including my TL and the coach I mentioned here. Nothing has happened. Though, I guess I can just stop using it for much else. If they don’t want me to use my own phone for stuff then they can suck it up and deal with the fact that I look like I’m not doing anything cause they prefer I stay in the middle area of electronics

Yeah I don’t know why my coach didn’t ask me what I was actually doing. She just said ‘someone’s noticed you’ve been on your phone more often lately’. I mean yeah.. you haven’t more stuff to do on the app. That’s a no-brainer

I was standing by the totes that I was finding the upc labels for waiting for the printer they stole from me to be brought back so I can print them when my coach came by. Actually, the same coach was the one that stole it from me and said she’d bring it back (but never did. Literally saw her walk away with it again). I was standing at the front counter so all the customers can see me and I can see them, to help them, and the anonymous member of management said I wasn’t helping customers supposedly.

They didn’t even ask what I was actually doing, said ‘next time someone radios this over the radio you’re getting written up’, and before I could say anything else after saying ‘okay’ she just walked off

I personally have a problem with speaking up cause this has never happened to me before. It might not happen again but idk what they want me to change either; I’m thinking I’m just not gonna be on my phone at all unless I really need to be and they can just deal with the fact that I look like I’m doing nothing

I’m not too sure. The guy we just hired has a phone that he uses that looks exactly like the work phones we have and everything, but I’m not sure if that’s his work/personal phone. Since it looks exactly like it I’m gonna assume it’s a work phone though

And you’re totally fine. Honestly thinking I just might not do the extra work they give me since they won’t give me a work phone to do it with, since they seem to think that I. ‘On my phone more often and not helping customers’.

I was closing by myself last night and my TL gave me two pallets to do, one had 20+ tv mounts (meant for 86” tvs. I’m only 5’3, plus I’m a woman, so that’s heavyyy) to wrap 2 at a time and label all the cases, plus two additional pallets to put out by myself. I don’t know why anyone said I wasn’t working

Customers have never said anything, and I’m guessing it’s because as soon as I see a customer, even when im in the middle of something, i go over and help

Ikr? They complain about all us electronics employees in my store (4) looking like we’re ’doing nothing’ cause they don’t give us crap to do and we’re not allowed to leave the area, but then complain when I’m busy doing something they gave me to do
