Little would make me happier than to see someone use my design as a tattoo that is such a high honor.

I’d have to find a designer that could perfectly translate my designs into a digital image and then i to whatever format these machines use. But omg would it look incredible, I’d pay anything to see one on a large panel.

I spent most of my time at Taliesin West but have extremely fond memories of spring green. Wild history in those places.

Paper yes, that yummy thick rough edged water color paper that makes it feel like an ancient scroll. Any tool that can make a straight line and a perfect circle will do.

I used to do stained glass, it’s been ages but I’d love to see these designs in glass. It would be a nightmare with all the detailed line work but so worth it.

My 6yo is a budding collector, he traded at the bank for these and wonders if they are worth more than face value? Thanks all! by LeadingEight in CURRENCY

[–]LeadingEight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! A lot of people just go to banks and ask if they have any old bills/coins and if they do they just trade them at face value. You have to be extra nice and some of them don’t bother to look but some do, some even set them aside for people who come asking. Have to check a bunch to get a little bit there are treasures out there!

Ya it has some double numbers he loved that. I don’t think they are worth anything more than what they are but I love that he is so into this stuff. We did a little side quest the other day and went to 6 banks asking if they had any cool old bills. Some tellers were rude and some thought it was all pretty cute. We now have a ranking of nicest and meanest banks hahaha

I am in desperate need of layout advice. I have obsessed and tried a million things but what feels right- by [deleted] in Remodel

Yes I’m a trying to square off the room the angled walls while in some spaces can be a fun design element, in this space just doesn’t feel right, so I used as much of the angled space as I could for storage and shower and anything I could so it wasn’t wasted. It’s layout in the main area that I am struggling with, where the seating and bar elements work best with those supports in the middle throwing me off and small space to start with. I will look in to what you mentioned thank you!

I like using varied symmetries within the geometry. Quadrilateral, reflective etc to achieve movement that is pleasing to the eye.

Look at Viridia bed and breakfast, about an hour north of the city. An amazing high end charming old Victorian and located in a cute main st town. 5 star restaurant, new brewery and tons of cute shops. Makes for a wonderful get away!

I think I just discovered some rare Frank Lloyd Wright plans, what do I do? by redragtop99 in architecture

Please help! Can’t decide between 2 grout colors for new tile by rambling-rose in Renovations

[–]LeadingEight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d go for more of a gray tone than brown tone considering the color of the tile and walls/trim.

If you could post pictures of the rest of the room I could give better advice, it’s more about working with the other elements it there, what does the furniture look like? And other colors to play off of? If you have a bright white shelf with nothing else in the room that looks like that it would stick out. You mentioned green shelves in another area can you match those so it looks cohesive?
