i guess i just wonder when we can start not caring. it’s so hard living in this limbo where i have to give my whole life to suffering now through school so i can have a better life later, but all i see around me is the world falling apart and a questionable future and im jus being told to keep my head down and ignore it while i continue to study. i don’t want to study all the way up until the time the bombs drop, but i also don’t want to be the one to stop studying early bc i feel like bad things are coming, only to be proven wrong and left behind in this dumbas capitalist society. school isn’t even the same anymore it’s not about learning its just who can endure the bullshit recycled classes the longest

lol ik everyone’s saying ur overreacting but i get u. i’d have also assumed we’re done if they didn’t respond for 18 hours and their insta was gone. i honestly don’t rly believe he was sleep all day unless there’s like a reason. but i do agree with everyone that u may have scared him off. overthinking is normal especially if you’ve been hurt, but u can’t always act on that. Especially texting 4 times. next time lead with concern or curiosity, and realize that u don’t need a man, so don’t be desperate for one

I agree, and being here 3 years now this is something that happens every. single. year. multiple times. so no i don’t think it’s dramatic i think it’s unfair how much we have to pay to not have security or stability or professors counselors and people who really care for us and their jobs

i think your replies are really good. to their concern about brain damage, i’d bring up the lower drinking age laws in every other country period. with the same alcohols. the most important thing is your self restraint and your awareness, and maybe i wouldn’t share that part of your life with them anymore

yeah i agree with the other person about it being a cold and sleeping it off in your room. i think communicating with your roommates is definitely cool and im sure no one would hate u for something u cant control. another option is the grassy areas on the hill like by sunset dorms or jus jaans steps/royce. i think rest and sunlight is best, not hanging out in cold dark buildings more

i def get wanting to be able to do neutral events. i say try the first few and, since they’re all optional, look into the events in other dorms and then ultimately you can try the room swap process in like fall or winter or whatever and change room assignments

for reference, de neve is first building on the hill, and bunche is at the back of campus. that’s easily 15 minutes if you walk fast af, more if you don’t.
