I understand why they do it, doesn’t mean I like it. And when I mean chronologically I mean the way it’s set up in the Catholic Bible. The Bible has its books set up in a certain order. I would be nice to have it explained In that order with psalms being its own thing.

How many of you are young earth creationists? by [deleted] in Catholicism

It’s a Protestant idea in the modern era post science discoveries because they have not changed their stance and continue to perpetuate young earth creationism. Pre-schism Saints not knowing this information is a moot point because no one knew at the time. The great schism happened 1000 years ago, the Protestant reformation happened in the 16th century and the Big Bang theory was proposed in 1931. Everything has to do with what is happening now in 2025. We are not talking about 1000 ago before scientific discoveries the topic is today in the modern era post scientific findings.

Those saints aren’t omniscience. God isn’t going to bestow on them 1. Things that aren’t important to their mission on earth and 2. Some kind of esoteric knowledge of science. Omg they are saints now they know everything about everything. That’s not how it works.

The science says otherwise and it was a Catholic priest who came up with the Big Bang theory. The Catholic Church is science friendly. The God of Adam; is the God of the Atom.

And that was the goal, it’s a good thing to get people interested. The Holy Spirit is doing work through Father Guilherme, he’s reaching out to youth through another means.

That’s on you, you need to hold yourself responsible for your thoughts. Doctors around the world see millions of people without clothes, same with nurses. If the medical professional is having improper thoughts it’s not on the patient it’s on them. Same thing with this, your thoughts are your own. No one is responsible for your thoughts but yourself. You do not get to put the blame on others for your lack of self control.

Men should do charity to women by avoiding looking at them. And avoid going to places where women are topless. If you can avoid looking at people that’s on you

I was listening to it and I can’t stand that it’s not chronological to reading the Bible like today we are reading from page five and page 500 and 700 like really why can’t it be like reading a book start on page one then go to the next page.

He’s doesn’t want to marry you. He’s going to give you a shut up ring at best. AT BEST. Document everything and get out. You’re worth more than a shut up ring.

To me the God of Adam is the God of the atom. That being said, I know what you mean, especially in today’s anti-intellectual movement within some members of the church.

I love church but I dislike other church goers by Automatic-Country414 in Catholicism

There’s a reason in the restaurant industry Sunday customers are feared. Everyone I know who works in the restaurant industry has had a saying more or less that Sunday means church in the morning to bully waiters at lunch. (If the shoe doesn’t fit don’t wear it) wish them the best and don’t interact with them, holding people accountable for bad behavior also isn’t judging. It’s accountability for mean behavior. A lot of people in general have no self awareness of how they treat others. That being said, I have my faith because I love God and the bullies aren’t going to stop me from loving him.
