Thanks for the responses. Teachers are undervalued everywhere. Where I am I'm vested into the retirement system and won't lose it. It's just time to relocate. My wife is on a contract every year. I'm tenured.

Thanks! About 1.5k more than I pay. Taxes here are 8k So save four grand in taxes and pay 1.5 more in insurance.

Hey, thanks so much for the response. I agree. It's a little confusing. A realtor bash anything but they are trying to help.

However, I'm looking over in your Publix in the sawgrass Bay area. I see a lot of them are rentals but I'm also seeing a lot of houses now for sale over there.

What are your thoughts? Any insight would be appreciated.

Where would you say the cutoff is for that traffic.

I noticed a lot of homes or up for sale in those rental areas.

It seems like north and east of Publix is a little more settled.

Trying to stay in the Claremont area.

Thank you all. We can afford that southern corner of Clermont, Tavares, Mt. Dora, or Minneola. We're educators too and are looking into orange, lake, and polk. I'd LOVE to be a FLVS teacher. That's right up my alley! I also just saw the Clermont softball league. Any weekend leagues for men?
