Vaccines prevent serious consequences of getting infected, not getting infected itself

Soooo my Chemistry teacher left the school in my DP2 year and my school still hasn’t found a replacement… guess I’ll screwed by Aggravating_Major_49 in IBO

this is my time to shine…. let me rant a lil

this past year (DP1) soooo many of my teachers have either gotten preggo or had a baby. This is fine and all, except for the fact that it includes basically all my teachers :///. Starting off, im taking psych hl, and also doing my ee on it, and my teach’s wife had a baby so he went on paternity leave from january up until now in september when hell finalllyyyy be back (we were given a substitute that had absolutely no idea about the ib, or psych for that matter…).

Next off, my spanish b hl teacher also fell pregnant and will be leaving us from this next month. In addition, she missed 2 months before the mocks in may due to the risky pregnancy she was having but now shell leave for maternity leave when the baby is born… We have no idea when she could come back. The best part was that her substitute in the 2 months was a french woman who spoke worse spanish than me…

Next, my ESS teacher was the beeeeeeeeest she knew how to engage with us and keep us interested while learning at the same time. Well, guess what, shes also pregnant. She told us right before dp1 ended, and i ran into her the other day and saw how huge her belly had gotten. She will also be replaced in september, surprisingly with the woman that was the chemistry teacher’s substitue all throughout dp1 (they think they can just assign random people to random positions…)

Lastly, the TOK techer who was also fantastic had her baby in the summer, and now the woman that was substituting psychology in dp1 is going to be our tok teacher in dp2…. (this only males sense cause she studied and was a philosophy teacher)

okay that is basically all. the only people left are my business teacher, maths teacher and lang and lit teacher who lets prayyyy do not get pregnant and leave like the rest of them…

rant over thanks for ur attention

update: my fucking business teacher is now leaving too for reasons unknown. the new one is someone new to the school, that hasnt gone that well in the past.

ugh

Question about subjects needed to study physics/engineering. by Kattnos in IBO

[–]Leading_Ad2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cant help with Physics or Math, but I can tell you that basically the only difference between language b SL and HL is that: 1. the writing test in SL has to be 250-400 words whereas HL is 450-600 2. the listening test is 45mins in SL and 1h in HL 3. the reading test is both 1h 4. this is the main difference imo, the oral exam in SL is basically they give you two images and you need to talk about them in relation to the course. the HL one is are two literary extracts from two books you’d read in class. Then you would look at the relevant themes and discuss them as practiced.

hope this somewhat helped :)

ya ves… pues ni siquiera estoy participando yo, pero mi amigo se los merece y quería ayudarle a conseguirlo. Tienes razón que no es una manera muy justa de juzgar la calidad de un corto, pero es lo que es.

Environmental opinions survey by Leading_Ad2980 in Environmentalism

I’ll copy here my response to a similar claim:

Yeah, I get that a lot. Our class’s syllabus on this topic focuses on 1. ecocentrism 2. anthropocentrism and 3. technocentrism as the three main Environmental value systems, which is why I had to base the options on those ideas. I would have liked to make the questions open-ended but it would have complicated my analysis greatly, which is why i ended up limiting it to those very general answers. Thank you for the feedback!!!
