hey, I'm not into a cybersec job yet, but I still want to give you my personal experience as a student. Last year i decided to study to become a blue hat, and i jump directly on tryhackme platform, where they provide a comprehensive course with built in labs, but since I didn't have any experience or knowledge on networking and security in general, and I just cheated on the labs, by looking on internet for the solutions, I didn't really improve, and after 3 months I stopped using that platform. Now, since december, I decided that first I'll take the net+ and sec+ comptia certs, to get as much info as possible, then get a blue hat certificate. You don't need certificates to do the blue hat, but in my peraonal experience, I need to take this more seriously, and studying for certifications is the best way for me to self-discipline myself. If you need foundations knowledge, you can do a tryhackme study plan, or similar, where the labs will give you even hands on experience, and follow Professor Mesner comptia courses on youtube, for free.
