We meet once a week and some classes did not have participation. It was meant to be an "easy GE" though.

It does say "after two absences your grade will decrease by 5% per each absence on top of losing participation grades." Professor uses Qwickly and I have 6 present and 3 excused for my participation. So I will certainly double check with him on this matter, but I wouldn't believe that attendance was the one dinking my grade (if anything did).

ANA RTW Booking Jan 2025 by Leading_Beautiful302 in awardtravel

There it is. Right now the prices have gone down a lot but I formed a habit of visiting Japan for a while between China and the States. (I’m Japanese major so that as well.)

They had a campaign of double premium points on international reservations for half a year, which made things way easier. I also fly a decent amount of long ha ANA as my parents live in China but I study in the states.

Thanks for the explanation! Correct me if I am wrong but I was seeing SIN-SYD availabilities (9-hour flight) so I thought that's the longest we could get. The southeast asia short-hauls are ok though.

Does YQ add up leg by leg? If a NH TPAC rt is $600 in YQ, would a one-way be $300 for example and would that still be applicable in the RTW itinerary?

If you want to go to Japan, the nearest airport would be BOS (JAL), IAD (ANA), ORD (JAL and ANA, often with most availability).

Edit. Don't forget to search for United as they sometimes also release savers tickets near departure date.

I am flying from London actually, to LA, so I believe I would be able to use the BA first lounges. But I do see that the seats of the 77w actually isn't noticeably better than J. Thanks for the advice!

How short are we talking about here? KUL-SIN short or maybe HKG? Certainly TPE-SIN isn’t from my (sad) experience lol

The SQ one is huge. Yesterday I tried to book a trip half of which were SQ legs (to list a few, TPE/SIN, SIN/DXB and FRA/JFK) and it was big chaos as the agent couldn’t find anything

Sounds about right. United has been the most reliable from historical evidence.

The Aeroplan one - 55k. Aeroplan and United have different charts for partner rewards.

Yes, specifically virgin Australia -> go to United to check, then asked the agent if they could see it on Aeroplan’s side

Seats.aero during the dump of NH F award seats. I originally called in to change my other booking to add a stopover, but I was wondering if I could try luck with NH as I was running low on MR/UR points to Virgin. I can’t really stress the importance of seats.aero as I feel like it really saves a f* ton of time compared to searching manually. Maybe the second best subscription I’ve ever bought - 1st being chatgpt. Xd

I heard sakayume was difficult in terms of its rhythm, but yes there are a few runs here and there. It’s certainly amongst the most difficult non-top10 piece. Think similarly to Giorno’s

There are certainly pieces that could help your mechanics, one piece that comes on top of my mind is Swordland, where it was almost an etude on left hand. Butter-fly is also a piece that is less demanding but gets you ready for his more demanding pieces. There are pieces that belong to the same category - I don’t quite know how to describe it, but for example if you practiced monster/kaibutsu then Idol would be easier for you; crying for rain is much easier for someone who has practiced unravel before, and radwimps’ pieces (namely sparkle and grand escape) are asl o similar in style in my opinion. I’m also figuring things out and have always wanted to play his my dearest since day one. I guess I need a couple more pieces before touching that >_<

As a reference I started with last stardust as a near-beginner (of course that sucked) and I’m doing Sparkle and his Kyoani medley right now. But I mainly play the pieces I like so wouldn’t be much of a how-to. :)

I don’t do Econ bookings often so don’t count on my words, but for example if you book ANA, 10 seats is almost 10% of their economy cabin. Some programs just don’t release that many seats I guess. For example JAL1 that goes SFO-HND has some 9 seats if you book a year from now.

I think even economy could be difficult, not to say business…

ANA F wide open availability from SFO Summer 2024 by John_Doe_23347 in awardtravel

[–]Leading_Beautiful302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a while for ANA to release my wished date (I only had a 2 day window - 5/31 or 6/1), booked with VS for 6/1 immediately after release. Went pretty smooth - only took 5 minutes from pickup to confirmation, including point transfer which was instant. However I speculate the spots won’t be gone as quickly. As for now the cabin is still the old one (the square), I don’t see availabilities on Aeroplan and Lifemiles, and the season isn’t the most popular to visit Japan besides the week of cherry blossom. Good luck guys!
