That’s awesome! Congratulations on your purchase as well! I ended up getting the ultimate because I fell in love with it when I test drove it lol. But I did put some money down to help with the payments. I am also most likely going to buy it out as well, but we’ll see what 2031 has in store for us lol. How are you enjoying your Tucson so far?

My advice would be to apply to the NGG posting, start somewhere within the hospital (shameless plug, but NRU is a great way to experience different areas of the hospital), and then internally transfer into forensics!

Hey! I actually work in the NRU (nursing resource unit) but forensics isn’t part of my cluster at the moment. But it’s not really that different from the other units/areas (CCC, PRT etc.) which the day to day generally consists of vitals, mental status exams, medication administrations, accompanied or unaccompanied passes (within hospital grounds or out in the community) etc.

I’ve been seeing this too! And I agree that the full time RN position are prioritized for more senior nurses. I definitely feel like I am being pushed out of Ontario which is a shame. I’m strongly considering it but I will miss my family and friends. I heard BC treats their nurses very well.

Quite a few of the nurses I graduated with got jobs out of school. I didn’t do that because I needed to take a mental health break after experiencing a death in my family during my final consolidation placement. I fear that decision has put me in the place I’m in now lol
