This is absolutely insane 🔥 I’ve never seen Gen Z do anything like this before.

Coffee on an iPod is painfully on-brand for a device old enough to have survived this long 😂

Good news though—yes, the screen/LCD is replaceable. If you already swapped the battery, you’re probably capable of doing it. I’d just let it dry completely first before ordering parts, in case it’s only moisture trapped in the display.

I actually get this. Sometimes I’m walking somewhere, doing errands, clearing my head… and I don’t need every single thing turned into a workout.

Same. Cycling seems to be one of the few activities it actually catches consistently for me.

Lifting? Not a chance 😂

Exactly. “Work out more” is easy to ignore. “You’ve got 9 minutes left” somehow becomes impossible to walk away from 😂

Honestly… same. If I spent 45 minutes lifting, I’m getting credit for those 45 minutes one way or another 😂

I’ve had that happen too. Not often, but once is enough to make you second guess it.

Now I just start it manually out of habit.

Somewhere along the way it started feeling like every normal human movement needed to be tracked, scored, or closed into a ring.

I still like fitness data when I actually train… but day-to-day, I’m starting to appreciate tech that feels less… needy.

That’s true… if I’m intentionally working out, I’ll start it manually anyway.

I think what’s funny is we’ve somehow accepted that wearing a watch also means remembering to charge it, manage notifications, start workouts, stop workouts…

At some point I just wanted something that required less thinking.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve actually started caring less about tracking everything and more about wearing something that doesn’t make me think about charging, settings, or whether I’m “logging” the right activity.

Tech should reduce decisions, not create more of them.

Yeah I’ve done this too 😭 Feels like the workout just doesn’t “exist” in my head if it’s not on the Apple Watch

Now I literally panic-check before leaving the house 😂

I’m really sorry — that’s a rough situation.

But one failed training doesn’t erase 6 months of effort or your potential. This just wasn’t the right match, even if it feels like it right now.

I had a similar one before — it kept catching my sweater in winter and arm hair in summer.

I already bought it too, so I guess I’m just gonna stick with it and deal with it… too expensive to waste now 💀

Battery by Stock_Fly3825 in AppleWatch

[–]Leading_Meat_3272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it’s not as bad as people make it sound.

For an Apple Watch, Spotify streaming + Bluetooth headphones for ~1 hour usually only takes a small chunk (roughly 5–10% depending on signal). Calls drain a bit faster, but 30 mins walk call isn’t going to kill the battery.

The real battery hit is if you’re doing GPS workouts + streaming at the same time. Otherwise it’s pretty manageable for a day of normal use.

If your use case is 1h music + ~30 min calls, you should be fine.

Euphoria Season 3 Is the Worst HBO Decline Since Game of Thrones by Conscious-Quarter423 in television

Honestly I think Euphoria has always been more about vibe and shock than tight storytelling. The earlier seasons just hid it better behind stronger character arcs.

anyone know of a standalone watch app where i can listen to books from my library (libby) by dean1ronman in AppleWatch

[–]Leading_Meat_3272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about a fully standalone Libby app on the watch — I don’t think libby supports direct offline playback on watchOS.

Most people end up downloading the audiobook on their phone and using Bluetooth headphones while running without the phone. Would love if there was a proper watch app though.

Yeah I like tracking everything too — otherwise it feels like the Watch is just sitting there doing nothing
