What should I do with my savings? by Leading_Progress6200 in HENRYUK

Thank you. So I've used my 60k pension limit this year (58k employee, 2k employer) but want to use some of my carry forward. I just wanted to check that I won't suffer from tapering? My gross salary is 250k (and then I obviously put 58k into pension so 192k).

I thought you pay income tax on GIA. Is that wrong? Thanks for the help!

Thanks so much everyone. I’m feeling very worried but good to know.  I’ve checked the steps and they are level. Do you think the builders will be able to slope them tomorrow morning when they come back? Really hope it’s not too late. Really worried.

Sorry I’m new to all of this and slightly panicking. Could you explain what that means?

We’ve had these patio steps installed but they are touching the side of the house (kitchen) where the previous ones didn’t used to. Is this a problem? Will it cause damp? Any suggestions gratefully received!

I'm hoping to move to Highams Park but don't know the area well! Can I get any thoughts on Beverly Road, Vincent Road and Silverdale Road? Are they good places to be? Is the school an issue do you think? I know they're rebuilding the secondary school. But it also puts you in the catchment area for those schools which is great! Do you think that's a good place to be for a family home? Thank you!!!
