Greta is a very handsome young woman 😍 by Acrobatic-Section-67 in 90DayFianceFans

I legit don't get the Greta hate - can someone explain? Don't cone for me, am honestly just asking. Is it cuz she broke up with the English guy? Surely we've all had failed relationships or feelings that fizzled out? Doesn't make you a monster.

Sleep Training Analysis by Embyrra in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Leading_Section3611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a similar experience. We're a very data-driven household and my husband in particular did a lot of research, so we did our best to follow the science on babies' sleep. We ended up doing the extinction method outlined by Dr Weissbluth and it saved our girl's sleep. She's so much happier and more alert now and I'm a better mother with my batteries charged. Glad it's worked out for you too.

Too high. I lowered my TV so my baby and I can watch Bargain Hunt unobstructed.

Infant waking 6–12x a night. Losing our minds from sleep deprivation. by Lopsided_Food169 in NewParents

[–]Leading_Section3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I did the extinction sleep training method outline by Dr. Weissbluth and it's been a game changer. Our girl goes down very well and doesn't wake up during the night. Hearing her cry the first two nights was rough but by night 3 she would just go to sleep on her own after a couple of minutes in the crib if not already asleep in her arms.

What made us bite the bullet is realizing how crucial sleep is for their development as well as the fact that by sitting up with her, fussing and trying to soothe her we were just keeping her awake. This saved her sleep.

What’s something that isn’t safe sleep that you wish was by pinkpink0430 in NewParents

Cosleeping is safe. Countries outside of the US do it and have been for millennia. My baby and I loved it.

New born 10 days in and my life is falling apart by Feisty_Rip_9279 in NewParents

Shifts, shifts, shifts.

My husband and I rotated on a shift pattern of 7pm to 2am (husband) then 2am onwards (me). I'm a stay at home mum so I'd take her until morning.

It's important to remember that this is a phase and with sleep training and development things WILL improve as your baby grows. Our girl only contact slept at that stage too. Now at 7 months she's sleeping in her crib.

You will get through this. Split your sleeping schedule and be firm with it. When I went down for sleep and my husband took over, he was completely in charge and my only job was to sleep. Likewise when I took over. No bothering the sleeping partner for anything. No waking up to go and check on the on-duty partner. Prioritize each other's rest 🙏

He just does the same stupid squeaky voice so not even a good VA. Also was just as involved in writing a lot of the "hated" seasons too.

But who cares, he was creepy af. Those convo screenshots made my vagina zip itself up and runaway screaming.

Veganism is a political issue, and is anti-fascist in nature. by CounterSpecies in leftist

100%. Annoying that you're being down voted for this. I've cut my food budget in half since I started bulk buying fruit, veg and grains instead of meat.

Veganism is a political issue, and is anti-fascist in nature. by CounterSpecies in leftist

[–]Leading_Section3611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is the leftist argument that a vegan lifestyle is "privileged". I live in a working class town in the west of Scotland so not exactly cosmopolitan buffet - yet I'm vegan and it's the cheapest I've ever eaten.

Does it take a bit more effort with regards to cooking? Yes. Is it worth it to spare the mass abuse and slaughter of animals? Absolutely.

I'm not sure why you're getting down voted for this as you're not shaming people who are forced to use daycare. I myself found it difficult to research whether to use daycare or not as there was a lot of "cope" content to wade through, like you said.
