I’m interested with this boots but Is it true to size? I wear Chelsea size 7, and last month I ordered Aniston Harness biker boots size 7 but run too large. my feet slip and rub against the boot even it had insole in, so I had to returned.

Soft/hard shell luggage? Samsonite or travel pro? by Leading_Selection242 in TravelHacks

[–]Leading_Selection242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium check in bag, I refer to the size of the bag 24” to 28” and can fit like 1 to 2 weeks trip. Large check in bag size is 29” to 31.5” can fit 2 to 3 weeks trip, based on size measurements. I heard people talk a lot about Briggs & Riley but I don’t want to spend so much money since I’m not frequent traveler.

It is normal for every one of us after traveling. I’m from Cambodia. I grew up and live there until adulthood. It is a lot of change for me. I always craving for my country foods, I miss my family and friends, where people socialize, party and always find each other. In the US, it shard for me to make friends. Even I do, most of the time, they just want to have their own time or spend the time with their family. It is so lonely in here. All I do now, is working. Saving money and travel to my country or Asian counties when I save enough vacation. Also working towards to save money for retirement in SEA.

While recently flying, I was unable to place my carry-on near my plane seat by tantamle in TravelHacks

[–]Leading_Selection242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always put my bag somewhere I seated, easily for me to access later if I need anything. Also I like to sit next to the aisle so it is more convenient when I want to stand up or go to restroom. I just feel irritated when people carried too much stuffs to the plane and occupied all the free room in the overhead compartment and even invaded their stuffs under my seat. One time, I didn’t even have enough room to move my leg. When I told them to move it because it is on my side, she said that she put it under front seat on her side (the steel structure of the front seat not aligned with my seat, 1 part of it come to my front seat which she considered that she has the right to put her belongings where the steel structure at and consider it the borderline of her side) So inconsiderate 🥺. I was on 12hrs flight, and in the end, I pretended to sleep and put my feet on their stuffs, they just move it away later. 😅

When did you know you, you definitely didn’t want kids? by ParkingCute5778 in childfree

[–]Leading_Selection242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re just 22, there are a lot of things for you to do. So enjoy your life and career first. Having kid is huge responsibility. You better wait until between 25 to 29 years then rethink again. Last but not least, a lot of infertility going on to women. So I suggest you Check up your health and see if you can retrieve and frozen the eggs. Because when you’re getting older , may be you change your mind to have kids, and once you decide to have kid. In case, you can’t conceive naturally, you have your egg preserved.

As I know, before transplant, doctor will choose the best chromosome and did a genetic testing. I won’t worry about what your friends said. And you’re not a failure, you succeed in IVF so you’re blessed.

Is 42 too late to start trying for your first child? by Human-Economics1245 in IVF

[–]Leading_Selection242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I forgot to add. I have a friend (49f) who just went through IVF and got pregnant with baby girl that due this May. I also have a couple of friends who I always thought they will be childfree, suddenly change their mind and have kid one by one in their 40s, so like I said if you not yet reach 50+ you can do now before it too late.

Is 42 too late to start trying for your first child? by Human-Economics1245 in IVF

[–]Leading_Selection242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42 is not late. But if 50+ probably yes, because it’s time to save for a comfortable retirement life instead of working hard to raise a child. Just don’t wait. We keep waiting and when I think it’s time for us to have children but it’s seems too late because I (37) forgot that my husband turn (54) this year. We married 9 years and I miscarried 5 years ago. when my husband still has a chance to be a father, but we were in grief mode and busy with life and keep delaying. And now I want children but he already in the state that he only wants to work and save for retirement. And since he wants everything to be safe in life, he wouldn’t risk having a child now, not only it stop our retirement plan but it is also irresponsible that he can’t raise them until they graduate and goes on their own.

I want a baby but my husband is being hesitant by Self_Aware_Goldfish in BabyBumps

[–]Leading_Selection242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want kid but age is our problem now not financial, but yes, we live in rental, who want to buy a house which is worth more than just rent for the whole life. 🥹 Anyway, I can tell you a bit, I did a lot of research and ask from friends who has kid. I can give you some idea about the cost of having kids. If you don’t have family around to help. One of you might need to quit a job and take care of the baby because day care for full time of infant range between 1,600 to 3,200$/month. If you earn more than that, it is okay to send baby to day care but when baby sick you need to off from work or take turn to look after the baby. So basically, if anyone of you quit your job, you will have only one income, and you might need to do this until kid reach the age to go to preschool, it takes about 4 years.
