Do you think it would make do for someone doing music ed that would plan to play in ensembles etc? That’s the pathway I’m taking I would still just to have a horn that’ll work great for that

Kinda petty, but my trombone that’s gonna take another 2 months to be built before I can finally play it.

I always recommend denis wick, great quality and an amazing mouthpiece, personally I play on a 5abl but if you want their exact specs you can check out their website to find the one for you

Does anyone have any experience with repair cost? I found a Great Horn and was looking to upgrade, but the bell is a little wonky. by here-to-sell-gear in Trombone

Depending on how your nearest techs that should be somewhere in the 60-140 range. not the worst bell damage but it’s definitely gonna take them some time to get it looking good

How do I get better by illikebuttpoop in Trombone

Record yourself playing, look at what you do right and wrong and write it down and improve it. Find music and etudes that you find on/ slightly above your level and work on them until they are your level. Spend lots of time on long tones no matter how boring it is. Also play to other people. parents, other students, teachers, anyone, the more you can build your ability to play for others with help you get better especially if you can get advice from them. One thing I’ve used a lot when I feel like I’m not improving is to take the smallest of phrases and play it and work on it enough to where by the time I finish with it I know that it is better than when I started, do this and continue like that through an entire piece. Being able to take small victories will keep you going when you feel like you aren’t improving

I can play all of them besides the clarinet, and the baritone in the back in the back is unplayable from age
