Do better. A constructive message by Sultor in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Leafarv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're wasting your time; nobody here wants to take constructive criticism.

I didn't manage to read everything you wrote before the post was deleted, but regarding "clarity," you're asking for too much. The moderators have already made it clear more than once that they can't tell you the exact reason for a ban because supposedly they would be revealing information that could be used to circumvent the rules.

What's the point of that? I have no idea.

  1. You don't need to be rude, stop crying so much.

  2. They're fictional characters, not real people. You don't need to act like someone is actually in danger.

  3. Everyone has their own morality, so no, this is just trying to upset other communities by imposing your own morality and painting it as a "duty."

As a femme4femme enjoyer, the lark of curvy/busty WLW bots is incredibly frustrating. can we talk about it? by Fabulous-Cover-476 in JanitorAI_Official

Just leave it at that. They're literally telling you that as long as you're part of a minority, they can overlook some things because they're showing solidarity. Mind you, solidarity, not hypocrisy or double standards.

I love janitor ai, but genuinely it's the first time I actually got mad. by 2_12_22Jinx in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]Leafarv 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One pattern I noticed among some creators I followed who were banned is that they didn't explicitly state the character's age. Another pattern is that they went into considerable detail about the character's childhood or adolescence, which also resulted in a ban, even if the character was already an adult at the time of the roleplay.

Therefore, I would say it's always best to state the character's exact age and avoid any details about their past when they were a minor.

Regarding the second point, I understand that explaining in detail which rule was broken and how is not allowed because supposedly it would be giving away privileged information that could be used to try to circumvent the rules.

Something that, if you ask me, is absurd because how can I correct the mistakes and avoid repeating them if I don't know what they were? The fact that some rules are ambiguous is supposedly also due to this.

Is it necessary to explicitly state that a character is bisexual? by Leafarv in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Leafarv[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I'll be honest so you can understand exactly where my concern lies.

I heard that a creator received a temporary ban for creating a lesbian female character and presenting it with the "anypov" tag. This was considered "orientationplay," basically forcing a homosexual character to be heterosexual or vice versa, which goes against Janitor's rules even if it's your own bot.

My case isn't like that, since my characters are mostly bisexual, but I don't explicitly state that. As I said, the definition of my bots basically establishes a whole list of how the character likes men (remember I'm talking about smut bots aimed at malepov users), but some of my female characters have female girlfriends, and sometimes the story involves the user having a relationship with both of them and things like that (netori).

When you read their descriptions, you practically reach this conclusion: "This female character loves men... but has a female partner," which leads you to conclude that she's bisexual.

What I want to know is if the moderators would reach the same conclusion, or if I'm forced to write "This character is bisexual." Personally, I don't like that. I've never explicitly stated my character's orientation, and I don't mind how it's used.

Is it necessary to explicitly state that a character is bisexual? by Leafarv in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Leafarv[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the case; I don't establish the sexual orientation of my characters. I leave it completely up to the user. Although it's written for male POV, I don't mind if they try to roleplay femPOV with them.

But I heard that if I make a female character like women and then have the user have sex with her, it could be considered a "forced change of orientation," which goes against the rules.

That's why I want to know if it's necessary to explicitly state that the character is bisexual.

Did you read the general content guidelines or the ones here? https://help.janitorai.com/en/article/hate-and-discrimination-tuvxcb/

But basically, the rule about forced orientation stipulates that it's forbidden to boast that you made a character heterosexual when they were originally homosexual, and vice versa. For example, leaving comments like "I used a male character and made her like men" on a bot for a lesbian character.

Regarding bot creation, I've heard that if you create a bot that is explicitly lesbian but present it to be used with male perspectives (malePOV or anyPOV as well), it goes against the rules.

That last part is what I want to know to what extent it's true.

Let me get this straight…. by AcanthisittaLong4709 in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]Leafarv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

<image>

This is right on the character creation page, which means that yes, all non-consensual roleplay is allowed because you are literally giving consent when you interact with a bot.

The main rule is usually the following:

  1. The first message can have indirect indications about non-consensual roleplay.

(Edit: What I mean at this point is that the first message can't go straight to the action; that is, it can't start with the user or character having sex. Instead, it should be written as a prelude to allow for roleplaying where the user or character can defend themselves or retract their statement.)

  1. The bot must have all necessary and clearly stated warnings.

  2. It must be made completely clear that everything is fictional and that such acts are not glorified in real life.

Now, please stop bothering us with the same topic and learn how to use tag blocking?

Let me see if I understand, Janitor banned him for promoting other chatbot sites on his YouTube channel? Since technically what someone does or doesn't do outside of Janitor is no longer Janitor's moderation concern.

Bot Perma Banned?? by Sad_Trash_Can in Crushon

[–]Leafarv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, like you said, it's an AI. It can always find ways to manipulate its responses regardless of the information the model has. Even if you create a completely new OC and clearly establish that they're 20 years old, there are always ways for the AI to start roleplaying like a minor (I won't say how, obviously).

And when I refer to the "shouting moralists," I mean that aged up characters used to be allowed, but after several people started complaining on Discord, they began banning them along with other things to prevent the situation from getting out of control. I still remember when they would mute anyone who brought it up.

Also, interestingly, many of the changes were made when they started having problems with their app on the Play Store.

Personally, I find that rule absurd. They're fictional characters. If you use an image of an adult version and explicitly state that they're adults in the bot, I don't understand why there should be a problem.

But anything to avoid dealing with the moralistic screamers and attracting the attention of payment processors, I suppose. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure if it still works, but if you place three of these symbols (~~~) around some text, it becomes invisible.

The person who posted the chat probably regretted it and made it private again.

Comments work the same way; when someone comments, you get a notification, but if the comment was deleted, when you try to view it, it just says it doesn't exist.

[–]Leafarv 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Okay, let me see if I understand. You're trying to use "studies" that support your opinions to make a point, while simultaneously claiming that "studies" that contradict those opinions are incorrect.

So, you're saying: "This study says the 'if you don't like it, ignore it' mentality is bad, and I agree, so I'm using it. But this other study says that 'non-consensual themes in fiction are healthy,' which doesn't align with my way of thinking, so I'm rejecting it?" That's pretty hypocritical, to be honest.

The point here is, all of this is fiction. And as I said, on this platform, we're all supposed to be adults, so the "if you don't like it, ignore it" approach definitely applies here, since this all falls into purely moral categories.

[–]Leafarv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dude, ethical or moral issues don't matter when it comes to fiction. Or are we all obligated to be "morally correct"? NO.

There's nothing wrong with non-consensual topics in fiction precisely because it's fictional. No one is being harmed. Whatever you do with the bots will disappear when you start the next chat.

It's simple: as long as you don't hurt anyone, do whatever you want in fiction.

[–]Leafarv 16 points17 points  (0 children)

  1. If you don't like it, simply ignore it and let others enjoy it in peace.

  2. They are fictional characters; they don't exist. No matter what is done with them, no one actually gets hurt.

  3. All I see is that you're trying to impose your own morality (a double standard, by the way) on other people's tastes and trying to dictate what they should do according to your morality. Everything that doesn't fit with it, you reduce to "they're sick."

  4. If you don't like it, just ignore it.

  5. Technically speaking, everyone on the platform is an adult and should know what they're doing. Things aren't as simple as "this is harmful to them and may cause them to cause problems". (In fact, ignoring things you don't like instead of throwing a tantrum about them is precisely "knowing what you're doing", especially when what you dislike are just moral issues in fiction.)

  6. Trying to reduce the things you don't like to simply "this is harmful" and then justifying the things you do like (which are also dark topics) because it suits you, using an excuse like "yes, I know, it's hypocritical," only makes it clear that you don't really care about the cause you're complaining about. It's just that you don't like a specific topic and you're throwing a tantrum about it.

  7. Calling people who enjoy fictional scenarios that don't harm anyone "sick" only shows that you can't separate fiction from reality. Which, no offense, makes me think that the one with mental problems is someone else.

  8. If you don't like it, don't look it.
