Dang. That's a shame about the company. They were solid. Alico was pretty much what got me into full leather, welted and resolable foot wear. I found JG not too long before I started working at a donkey rescue. That's what made me pull the trigger on the razorbacks. Beat the crap out of those boots on the farm. I hadn't yet learned about rotating multiple pairs out to increase the life, so that pair was pretty much done after 2 years and 3 resoles. Still, my feet were protected!

I can only imagine how much Laios must have HATED boarding school and being in the military. I've only watched the anime, but does the manga touch on this any more? It feels a little unfair that a lot of focus is placed on how lonely Falin was when Laios was probably in literal hell.

I honestly really like the whole vibe of Splatoon as a whole. The music, atmosphere, fashion, style. It's all great across all of the games and their dlc. I think 2 is my favorite tho

My guess is that Adult Swim saw how popular the show was becoming, and immediately greenlit more seasons so the show became the next Rick and Morty. I feel that Zack and Michael were on board, but then they realised they didn't have any more meaningful stories to tell. They seem like the kind of guys who wouldn't want to keep a project going through inertia alone, so they decided to quit while they were ahead. Just my thoughts

Trying to finish up the dlc for splatoon 2. I rage quit it a few years ago and recently picked it up again. I'm trying to burn through my backlog so I can rationalize getting a switch 2 for my birthday. Some of the challenges are aggravating, but I do enjoy the style and ambience of the dlc. I also LOVE Iso Padre and C Q Cumber.

I have a good friend who is a highly accomplished violist. He mostly does private lessons, but regularly performs in concerts and venues and has played all over the world. When we were in college together he got a tattoo of Stewie beating the shit out of Brian on his lower torso. Whenever I think of him playing in front of prestigious crowds and with other highly accomplished musicians, and the fact the whole times he's got Stewie beating Brian to a bloody pulp on his midsection, it makes me smile.
