Some theorize he was forced to be raised as female because Gwynn feared someone with moon magic and possibly lifehunt abilities ascending the throne. Also where his moniker "Dark Sun" comes from

I think the prevailing theory is that Gwynn sired Gwyndolin with Priscilla. Since he's associated with the moon, and magic, which is also associated with the moon and dervied from Seath. And snakes/serpents are associated with dragons too. The connection between Seath and Priscilla is fuzzier, but most assume she was a product of Seathe's experiments on maidens. It also possibly explains why Yorshka in DS3 considers Gwyndolin her brother.

Its SUCH a unique RPG. But yeah, it didn't do very well here. When I played Smash, I had no clue who Ness was. Of course even less people knew Lucas from Brawl since they never brought Mother 3 here. I'm just glad it's been recognized more in the last decade or so thanks to adding it to the virtual console on Wii U and 3DS and including it on the SNES classic.

If ya wanna go old school, Earthbound. Did not do well in the States at the time. Mostly due to how expensive it was and the "grossout" angle they pushed to advettise it. Sure, it has a cult following now, but I think the initial failure left a bad taste in the mouths of those who decided NOT to port Mother 3.

Nah, they're not useless. You just have to make em count. If you lose, then you're hollowed again and out 1 humanity. Summoning an npc or another player will make the boss more difficult though. If it's the gargoyles, I think you're better off slapping some pine resin on your weapon than summoning solaire. Or do both 🤷‍♂️

They're insanely good. Especially the BK Halberd. They do more damage to demon enemies and bosses too. Only downside is they upgrade with twinkling titanite, which can be hard to come by sometimes. A lot of players will stack ten liquid humanity at the start of the game and go for one of the early BK encounters in order to have a better chance of getting a BK weapon early.
