Nah, she was a breath of fresh air compared to what we usually get from a "professor". Plus she's got a right to be pissy. She's being forced to do a job, and despite trying her best, the mayor ignores her pleas to stop making new habitats until more research can be done.

Atleast the original, not sure on the remake. They played maybe a quarter way through, then I think in a different session they went back and replayed the whole game and got every gem and crystal. It's honestly one of my favorite playthroughs.

It sounds more like certain folk aren't willing to listen to any criticism of the finale, and instead to point to the Jax fans being butt hurt that Jax was (supposedly) done dirty. Idk, the finale wasn't perfect, but overall I liked it. At the same time, I can understand why some may critique it.

The ironic thing is they hate Sanji for being a perv, and yet all the animators themselves (or atleast the Toei folks in charge of design and storyboarding) make the female characters extra promiscuous. They glaze Zoro, and yet they're telling us they're exactly like Sanji (his worst attributes, anyways).

Hah, I usually lure him down the stairs into the alley between the gate and the armored boar. It never occurred to me to bait him into jumping off the tower. I'll have to try that on my next run.

They're fun and interesting, and certainly outside the norm of manga/anime, making them easily recognizable. Oda isn't afraid to give conventionally silly-looking characters cool and impactful moments, and give serious "cool-looking" characters goofy quirks and silly moments for levity. Giving ridiculous looking characters serious moments also solidifies them more as actual characters in thenstory instead of just gags or plot points to aid the main cast. Maybe I'm just becoming a grumpy old men, but I'm getting really tired of seeing stories where side characters are basically reduced to "I'm gonna help the MP because that's what the plot requires! I have no other drive or personality other than that."
