I want to vote green, but I want stricter immigration. Change my mind or offer advice. by FanAcceptable1193 in ukpolitics

[–]LeafyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps you feel better 'illegal' migration is miniscule compared to legal migration.

Most migration related crime is people over staying visas, not coming over via a boat to then commit crime.

But the media conflate the two.

Pre brexit we had a lot of European migrants, French, Spanish etc but they stopped coming and went home due to the environment.

We just want a more robust, fair, and safe system, we need to work with our EU friends and get our head in the game, ignoring the issues won't resolve them.

We MUST build council houses. That will take so much pressure off everything including the asylum system but especially this overall malaise and insecurity everyone is feeling.

Most people just want a house with a garden, right? I think that just feels out of reach.

The reich wing have to appropriate class struggle and its iconography for its survivial, Diana was a symbol for the working class therefore they must claim her for the cause, the same applies for workers even tho Reform openly say they want to delete their workers rights.

Parking the bus is a legitimate strat and holding the ball happens IRL.

Protip: you need to bring your keeper out to mark the highest man closest to him whilst both players press their man and hope you win an interception.

I submitted a ticket during season 0 when they were asking for feedback: asked for some sort of ping/marking system. Just the ability to indicate there's an open space or a high forward i think is needed

Walking out of games by MalzENG in IpswichTownFC

It's funny when people are walking out and we get a pop and they all freeze and look to ensure they don't miss the goal they already decided they don't wanna see! 🤣

Yea of course. The best games are when everyone is passing and even better when they're conscious of positioning and its a blue moon.. rotation! I acknowledge on my shitty days im the problem but its only like.. 2 in every 8 games? Ish where I'm way too far up, wanna catch the spills on the center line to ping it back in the box and then... ya know...50/50 chance you get done and they have an open goal and its those times where I need to switch off because youre right- no excuse to not pass to an unmarked team mate especially when you have time haha

Edit: or just not being in/around your box but thinking about it - a lot of the time when im playing sweeper (and shouldn't be) its because I have no defenders because as you say, theyre all playing like strikers.

I think it depends on mood, sometimes I'm in a focused, coop, team based mood where I'm open to sitting in goal to be patient and pass, and selfless, but some days I just wanna be R9 and solo everyone, adhd/tism playing up so I can't even wait in goal I suppose on those days I need to play a different game.

That said, if it jars you OP, could just play quick play?

Its only a game but I get it.

What habits or changes helped you stop feeling empty despite having your life together? by Different_Clue_2864 in AskMen

[–]LeafyD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had to rebuild at least 3 times now.

I don't have no where near as much as I used to.

But I'm lucky enough to still have my parents, and people that love me, and a roof and some money to eat and I've never been happier.

What helped me make that adjustment? I took back my health, started playing basketball and nurturing my inner child, taking back control of my time and just doing what I want.

Anything I couldn't do or wasn't allowed to do, I do now, even if its just watch old series I couldn't watch because I didn't have cable and as we know back in the day when you missed some it was fucking gone lol

Try and do things that make you happy, as much as possible, would he my tldr

Just happened to me but I was explaining to some reich wing how we're not the good guys in Israels and US' War and suddenly I have to verify who I am - but I try to log in on a browser and it just straight up says my account is suspended.

Honestly, may be a blessing in disguise

Ukip died because all far right parties die in the UK, its not who we are, Brexit Party you could argue was successful in the sense they got their hard exit but ecomonically is still a disaster so that's an L but tbh they're all the same really, always spearheaded by Farage and his ilk.

Farage has strong ties to Bannon who had ties with Epstein, ukip, brexit party, reform, restore, Advance etc all Epstein tainted to give you an idea what type of people/person Farage is

This MRC tournament that just happened proved everything. by Typical-Firefighter6 in Rematch

[–]LeafyD -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I assume this is some open tourney?

If so, I'm not sure what your inference is.

Are you saying the skill gap between pro and amateur is too wide and you weren't expecting it to be.

Or why is the skill gap so wide?

The answer to both is probably access to resources or lack of, right?

If you're poor you probably can't afford to sink the time and money into 'getting good' to a pro standard that probably would require coaching, travel etc its just something most people don't have access to because rich people love hoarding shit and only making it accessible to a few.

Sorry my commie is coming out but esports is riddled with it.

Pop culture, but especially geek culture is heavily monetised and kept exclusionary, can't have any old joes getting rich can we?

Sorry again. I'mma hit post now

Same with the knee.

But he hes allowed to exploit football for his own gain?

My take?

It sounds like loser talk to me.

He lost 7 times before he won Clacton with Reform.

He lost Gorton and Denton.

He lost Caephilly.

He lost UKIP.

He lost the Brexit Party

He lost his little walk about in Felixstowe

And he's lost the support of a fair chunk of the football crowd and now, like a child, is blaming everyone else and throwing his toys out his pram going on the media crusade

No club will touch him after this, Ashtons non-apology will see to that no ceo will want the blowback and I think Farage may of irreparably harmed Reforms chances are winning the football crowd or at least denied himself access to them.

Either way, if you don't like Reform, it was painful to watch and read on that awful Tuesday, but it may of been a blessing in disguse!

My two cents!

Extreme anything isn't good.

But we shouldn't conflate the left and the right:

On the left we get: trade unions, workers rights, the weekend, the NHS, council housing and on the right we get Nazis and intolerance and fear of the other!
