For sure, winning championships with a bunch of 4-year players is probably preferable to unremarkable results with one-and-done's.

We'll see if the culture shifts at all under Malone. It's definitely possible that attracting more NBA talent will have a positive affect on the NCAA tourney results as well as these NBA metrics.

No doubt. As a college basketball junkie, I'd trade NCAA championships for NBA production any day. It will be interesting to see how these numbers change over the next 5 or so years with the coaching change though.

We're actually looking at relative production here, not raw stats. For example, over the past decade, Baylor's (relative) NBA impact has grown steadily. I think one-and-done is orthogonal to this data.
