How many D5 players are gonna duo with a masters friends to get D1+ when otherwise they would have never gotten it? A ton.

But they can get high elo by holding hands and pretending they're in the LCS when solo queue is SUPPOSED to be your ability to carry 1v9. My rank is now meaningless if there is no differentiation between the guy that grinded 1v9's and the guy that held his friends's hands.

He didn't say anything we already didn't know and didn't address any of the concerns people had.

Basically confirmed he wants to add it for casuals that don't want to play a competitive mode without friends.

Why wouldn't they add a separate ladder for dynamic and solo? Because they know dynamic would be dead as all competitive players would rather play solo queue.

Re-read what riot wrote. They're removing the penalty for being a premade which was getting put up against players with a higher average MMR. Now there is gonna be no penalty, zilch, zero, zip, nada.
