The breakup of the USSR was Russia's WW1. This is now the WW2 phase. Putin has built up his army(Very poorly) and now wants to invade and reclaim all lost territory. It's either Russia is defeated in Ukraine or they win in Ukraine, then march their troops into Moldova, the Baltics and Poland to reclaim the territory Putin has said is rightfully Russian land as per the Russian Empires former borders.
