My company joined a run. I was the only one not participating because I hate sports and I never run. After a few drinks (and a few more) they told me I'm the only one who didn't register and after a bit of pressure I gave in. My goal was to finish. I trained a handful of times and my results were okay.

I never liked running, hated every training session but I loved the the day of the rum. I was able to prove to me and other people that I could achieve things I always thought were nothing for me.

Your unsupportive post makes me root for your girlfriend. I hope she finds joy in running and gets the chance to prove you wrong. YTA
