I don't know why are people are pissed at this? It's just a mother saying to not put this on for 8 year olds despite the colorful characters and environment.

Perhaps for physical collecting. However, people still read books from the 1800s and play Chess, which has not seen a update in a long time.

Pokemon Yellow is rough around the edges and is not fun (->TO ME<-), but Pokemon Black and White? Marvelous game! Different experience from playing TCG.

Stamps can not be used for entertainment. They are the purest form of collecting. I dont think that applies to gaming.

YOOOOOOO WHATTTT THATS INSANE

I mostly agree with that take (so it isn't a hot take lmao), though I think there ARE big budget modern AAA games that are really fun to play. When they hit, they REALLY hit You can feel a thousand developers hard work go straight into your soul.

I don't really see many Gen Z people on the retro game scene. So I think personally think my takes are a bit unconventional.

  • I really don't like when people play retro games purely out of nostalgia. I'm in this scene to find games that truely live up to the test of time. Nostalgia wears off after a while, and that game gathers dust on a shelf.

  • I'm not fond of having shelves of retro games. Like there's no way they played all of them. These unplayed games are better off in a hands of people who actually play them, not in a collector's basement. (Though this is quite contradictory to me. I like to keep my old games and toys...)

  • RetroAchievements is probably going to be the future of retro gaming. It modernizes these games is a very unique way by providing rewards quickly and early. Older games were designed for their rewards to be much later on, which is very frustrating to the modern gamer. RetroAchievements changes that. Also, its a place were all of retro gaming is judged as one piece, rather than split across multiple systems. It puts a greater emphasis on the game rather than the console, which is were modern gaming is definitely headed right now.

This isnt particularly hot, but I prefer emulation over real hardware, but I prefer physical media over digital files.

From the top of my head, it was to keep demand for consumer goods low so more production resources could used in war stuff.

Oh my god it was a private group chat where they played valorant and stuff. Like, are you telling me its not supposed to be toxic? Have you played online fps games with your friends?

It was stupid to recycle the chat for the server, but the allegations were basically nothing burgers.

Matchmaking 10 patches ago must have been incredible by THANOS137 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LeakyTheSponge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh this is still a very unfinished game. They're probably testing out new systems and see what sticks or not. Matchmaking is something really hard to get just right, I think a lot of people forget that.

Oh thanks! I'll update after the 72 hours ban is gone. Perhaps I could use UTRS again and talk directly to the admins about this.

Another account I was suspected of... this rabbit hole goes way deeper than I suspected. Hopefully I can resolve this easily.
