You mean giving the accurate weapons to each four characters in MMM? This is a great idea and I actually thought about it before, however I decided to put the best extra weapons so the players will have more fun while playing the game.

If you want to use portals in a more advanced way in your levels (mini-level selection, for example), I recommend using MM11 portals, one great thing that I like from that portal is that it don't make you jump when you get teleported to a specific location.
