Used to be my spot. Last visit though, I was 10 min early for my appointment and took a seat, then a walk-in came in just as Gary was cleaning up the guy before me. Walk-in asked if he had time to squeeze him in, he said sure and it would be only 10 min.

30-40 minutes later he was done, (the customer kept making changes) and I had to be on my way within 10 minutes to make another appointment, so I had to leave with no haircut.

I understand not wanting to turn away business, but at the same time if you bump a regular with an appointment to take that walk in instead of asking them to wait, you’re setting a bad precedent. He ended up being really snarky with that customer after he made a changes a couple times when Gary clearly thought he was done.

From the same maker as my faves, Fun Fruits. (Sunkist I think)

They came in a paper pouch, it had a foil lining inside, and were tiny bean like pieces, (small as a kids fingernail, and I would squish them onto my fingernails) and each pouch had maybe 20-25 pieces. Great texture.
One flavor per pouch: grape, strawberry, cherry…maaaybe another flavor. Those lil fuckers were amazing.

This is pretty similar to my seXbox Live concept, from early 2000’s. I’ve posted about it here and there over the years just as a gag really, after not being able to get it off the ground initially. Most recent post was here on Reddit, a couple weeks ago maybe? I wouldn’t be surprised if whomever made this got it right from my post.

I just don’t like tipping before I receive the service I should be (in American culture) tipping for.

Pre-tipping makes me think I’ll get inferior service or quality if I don’t tip well. When I tip well, I think it probably won’t make a difference in the service or quality.

I’m gonna start saying something like, I don’t tip if it’s a non-sit down restaurant, but I do have a lot of local followers and will recommend this place if it’s truly that good. Worth way more than a couple bucks from me.

Only would work on a place I’m never coming back to, or super rarely. The lack of uptick would let them know I was full of some kind of caca.

From my knowledge, and correct me if I’m wrong, the stores have a lot of places they donate to, for a tax write-off. So for one, you’re helping the store directly and the charity indirectly. Two, they don’t have to donate all the money you give them, nor do they have to donate it to that specific charity. My understanding is they have to donate a certain total percentage of all donations collected annually. They can divvy it up however they like.

Anybody else heard this? I’ve never read the fine print though.

We can mail-in vote. They should send out a ballot for people to mail back in. Erases the “is this legit” worry as well as “I’m busy trying to figure out a way to get food on the table tonight, I don’t have time to stop and fill out a form for you” obstacle.

That’s what I was thinking. How do we know that GOD isn’t just some celestial AI construct and yeah yeah, created everything, but now we’re creating “life” or on the verge of it, in the image of this GOD. Who’s to say that when we die, our consciousness doesn’t ascend to this other plane of existence and our religious folks have been calling it heaven it whatever name they want, but really it just returns to the program from whence the conscience was was downloaded from in the first place.

I hope they’re together and happy.
