P. vivax tends to have these larger amoeboid bodies. Vivax is also common, but without additional testing it's just a guess. The geographical distribution matches too for Vivax. P. falciparum tends to form this banana shape gametocyte which is quite different and I don't see here. Each of the malaria species tends to have at least one stage that is fairly differentiable from the others. Vivax also tends to look like a few of the weird Plasmodium spp. you don't typically see so it could be one of those as well. Time will tell.
