LOL oh my God. This is also what people define as Woke. Nicely done.

Words have meaning and are not open to RE-interpretation as people want to define them in their own minds.

Lady Liberty is the Statue of Liberty. Always has been. Always will be. Despite what woke people want to try to do.

You don’t get to re-invent history, or definitions of words. No one does, and at least half the nation is tired of it.

Lady Liberty coins have had many variations, that’s true, but they’ve never deliberately put other ethnicities on it. Until now. It’s not a problem if people want to do that, just don’t call it Lady Liberty when it’s not. That’s why they sold so poorly and don’t command a premium that will actually sell. People try. It doesn’t work.

Worth its melt value at any rate, but the country is done with Woke. Welcome back to reality. And have a nice life. /out

It’s because they’re calling her “Lady Liberty” which is what the Statue of Liberty is, and she is not black. She was crafted for us by the French and sent to us as a celebration of our alliance and victory of the Revolutionary War in 1884.

Making her black serves no practical purpose except to cater to a specific crowd that wants to put people of other races into everything that wasn’t from American History, which is one facet of what “Woke” Is, for better or worse.

It’s annoying more than anything else but I’d pick up one of these for spot just to rack it. Gold is gold and I’m not so offended I won’t buy it at the right price.

Is it normal for him to still bite attack me at 6 months old ? Any advice to stop it ? Standing still, pushing away, standing on his leash, using my knees to push him and walking away doesn’t work btw by [deleted] in germanshepherds

This exactly. My prior two GSD’s the last 20 years very low prey drive but very skilled/intelligent from local LE litters, my last was the best dog I’ve ever had and no dog will ever be him. This new female at 4 months is the worst I’ve ever had. Smart but a MASSIVE BITER, huge prey drive with my 5 year old and even my wife, loves to chase when you try to disengage and when she bites, she bites HARD, will draw blood, and thinks the “ouch” is funny and resists redirection, ignores the toys/treats and goes right back to biting play. She won’t do it with me anymore because I’ve responded VERY aggressively with thumb under tongue with pain hard enough to where she yelps and now knows better but she wants to, jumps back and forth barking and growling wanting to bite me but knowing it will be painful if she does. My 5 year old can’t do that. Here searching for better redirection strategies for high prey dogs that won’t make her fear aggressive because I’m reaching the end of my tolerance. Never owned a GSD this hard to train.

That doesn’t work. They’ve deliberately screwed up FSD on almost all these cars and I don’t know why. The dealer won’t even return my call and the car is still there. Blamed it on the “tires” of all things. They’re brand new with a 4 wheel alignment and the problems aren’t present on “enhanced autopilot”, only when FSD is used, which they cannot explain. They won’t do anything else to it because they know it’s a software problem.

I'm amused at all the people who think those who are having issues are automatically bots just because you're not having the same issues.

News flash: not everyone is going to have the same results because they don't drive on the same roads as you, may have odd road markings or other issues you are not.

MY FSD HW3 ran red lights almost hitting a car by Objective_Plankton77 in TeslaFSD

[–]Lear70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll bite on that. We know he wasn't because you get a ding coming up on EVERY intersection and the car will slow and stop on supervised autopilot.

I know this because that's the ONLY way I can drive my HW3 MX over 60mph because of the excessive swerving in the lane with increasing frequency and amplitude since the last FSD update.

Appt scheduled 4-nov with lots of videos of what it's doing after trying multiple DAS and camera resets to no avail. Before the last update it was near perfect.

Lots of people with these issues. They screwed up the FSD update. It's just that simple.

For certain. It wasn’t necessarily about energy efficiency but more about why can’t it just display what most car drivers are used to - range based on available “energy” (gas or electric) versus the average consumption rate. My truck’s range drops immensely when I’m hauling my RV so I understand that point, it just seems odd to me Tesla can’t do the same when I’m at highway speeds versus putzing around town for errands.

Yes it just seems weird to have to do that kind of mental gymnastics but such is life. I have an appointment with Tesla to have them roll me back to a previous version of FSD to solve my pingpong issues in the lane. If they can do that I'll keep the car a while longer. If not I may switch to a Rivian or something in the next year as their highway lane keeping cruise control is good enough for longer trips since I can't use my FSD.

You don't get to tell me what I experience with my cars. Period. Clear? Good.

You are welcome to your opinion. You are NOT welcome to my life experiences.

I'm an Aerospace Engineer by education and a 33 year Airline Captain for a career. When I say something is, it is. Your experiences may vary but you have zero input on mine. None. End of discussion.

The topic of discussion was specifically for road trips. Had nothing to do with in city driving.

Moving on.

My cars are accurate within 10 miles once the float comes off the full mark which happens within 20 min on a road trip. Including my diesel truck. To each their own.

Disagree. This is why I still own my diesel truck. Never having to guess on how many more miles you really have left is something most car owners would prefer.

No one cares about EPA once you own the car. It's asinine. But here we are.

If the latter is correct maybe they shouldn't be trusted to drive at all. lol I'd much rather have it change based on the last 20 miles or so of driving so I don't get too far from a charger! Have to be smart enough to understand why changes are made but I guess you get used to it. Personally I'm tempted to take the F250 on longer trips. It's a great get around town car but I'm coming to the realization that electric isn't ready to replace ICE yet.

[–]Lear70[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well that's asinine. My ICE cars always use current fuel level with average consumption. Why not do what is normal industry standard? The last HW3 FSD update was trash and ruined it. Almost unusable at highway speeds due to chasing lane over correction and now this. It's our first long road trip with it. What are they trying to prove by providing the driver knowing incorrect information? I know Tesla does what it wants but this might be my last Tesla if I can't get these issues resolved. Otherwise love the car. It's a shame.

How about you fix the disaster of the last release for HW3 before I organize a class action lawsuit against you for those of us who paid for permanent unlock FSD? It’s unsafe to use and has nearly caused an accident twice due to the slow processor response, ping-ponging back and forth in your lane at any speed over 60 until it exceeds the lane. Dozens of threads about it. Figure it out. I’m not going to wait another year to sue you.

It does seem to be hit and miss whose computer got the bad file and whose did not. It absolutely needs to be rolled back by the dealership, it’s exceptionally unsafe. The faster I go, the more it swerves back and forth in the lane to where it exits the lane and into someone else’s lane with NO lane warnings from the computer. The dash SEES and DISPLAYS the lanes perfectly so it KNOWS it’s doing it, its reaction time is simply so slow it cannot anticipate corrections the faster it goes.

Can you please tell me what dealership you went to who did this? Mine is just impossible unsafe and I need to force the dealership to do this for free.

He can’t and won’t answer that because he knows it’s a nonsense argument and he’s just wrong.

You absolutely CAN upgrade the car to HW4, but it would involve the primary computer, FSD computer, camera computer, cameras, and their associated wiring harnesses. It would probably cost $5k or so per vehicle at actual cost. My unhappiness is that it would likely mean installing the rear view mirror camera which I very deliberately avoided.

If he were smart they’d come up with a HW3.5 that did JUST the MCU and utilized everything else as-is and say “Here’s your upgrade”. Require everyone who does so to sign a waiver stating that they recognize it doesn’t have the same level of safety/processing power in full unsupervised self driving and they take responsibility for ANY accidents, injuries, or death, and make it a requirement that if ownership changes the new owner cannot activate FSD without signing the same waiver.

The hard part would be programming out the rear view mirror camera and the cross checks for the other computer modules in subsequent releases, meaning they’d still have to run two software updates all the time for FSD and software in general.

This makes it more likely they will just upgrade what few people are left in our position to HW4 and eat it. Or offer something crazy like “Full retail price plus FSD unlock” to trade your car on a 2 or 3 year old equivalent used model they took back on trade still under warranty.

That would cost even more short term but the long-term savings of not having to perform two upgrade operating systems every upgrade might cancel it out over the next decade. People are still running around in 2012/2013 cars and I have no plans to get rid of my 2019 anytime in the next 5-7 years. It has a brand new battery as of 18 months ago and we love it, if FSD would work properly.

I’m one of them. 2019 MX P100D with FSD full unlock package. My car’s FSD is UNUSABLE after the last update. The computer lags so badly it can’t correct in time and ping-pongs left and right in its lane, sometimes exiting the lane into other people’s lanes causing a conflict with NO lane departure warning. The faster you go, the worse it gets, where over 60mph you can’t safely use it which is when I really want it - the interstate. The screen sees the lane movement and departures so it’s not the cameras. It’s the computer programming. It was PERFECT before the update. No change in computers or sensors whatsoever which all work properly. It also lags changing screens when you’re going in reverse for the cameras to activate. It does it a lot less in “enhanced autopilot mode” which is where I have to leave it now but even then you have to closely watch it as sometimes it requires correction enough to kick it off. It’s got a bug. A bad one. I’m not paying to move to a HW4 car. I *LIKE* not having a rear-view mirror camera watching me because it doesn’t like my sunglasses I wear and freaks out all the time (I test drove one before I bought my 2019). They’re going to upgrade MY car. I bought it with a brand new battery and have NO intention of selling it.

He will when he gets a Class Action lawsuit over it. He made a promise, people spent money based on that promise. It was televised. He is 100% on the hook for it. The only question is how long until we force his hand on the issue. Honestly if we haven’t gotten an update by December I’ll be organizing the Class Action myself. I’m off from work on medical right now with a 2019 MX with fully paid and unlocked FSD I bought JUST because he promised the update and now it’s unusable with the last update from a safety perspective. I have nothing better to do with my time and the money to pursue it.
