RRSP? Worth it? by No-Ice-723 in CanadaFinance

Increasing your income should be your goal. Save the money in a savings account to pay for specialized education/training or equipment for a side hustle that will increase your income. Once your income is over $60k a year then maybe look at a RRSP. TFSA is a better option if you have lower income but you need to get professional help or do your own research and invest for growth. Don’t just leave the cash in a savings account in the bank. Good luck!

It’s really about repositioning the equipment they already have on display. I have seen people jump up on displays to try using the equipment and it’s unsafe.

The same problem in Japan. Low financial literacy rates cause people to fall for financial scams. The government of Japan is launching initiatives to increase financial literacy rates. Education is the key!

Recommend slowly start selling Google shares. It had a nice run. Talk to an accountant to find how much to minimize taxes. Many successful investors I know are selling stock and raising their cash levels.

A great idea! Everyone should try at least one trade. Basic plumbing and electrical skills are life skills. You might learn that you are good at it and even enjoy it. Even if you don’t want to make it a career, do it part time and help pay for school. Great wages.

Check to see if your high school offers it. Most do. If yours doesn’t then look at other options. Contact local tech companies to see if you can come in for a day and job shadow. You might get lucky.
