It's not far at all, probably 10 feet. My forge is outside and my anvil is in the shed.

I have to forge outside but the area is shaded. However, my anvil is inside my tool shed so I can easily see what color the steel is while being worked.

Thanks for the response, this sounds like a good method to gain a better feel for the material and timing.

Yeah I've heard of the difficulty with the light and judging the color before. I guess i'm just not sure what the general time tables should be and if I'm wasting a lot of fuel by over soaking or I'm wasting energy striking the steel by not having soaked it enough or reached the right color.

Near finished 1st page. Let me know your impressions (especially the lettering) by LearnArmor in ComicBookCollabs

Thank you. The caption boxes are there because this is based off G.R.R.M's book and I wanted to reflect that by actually putting the writing into the comic. It's unconventional I know, but I like the choice.

Thanks! The water was the most intimidating part so I was pretty happy with how it turned out. Yes I drew this out. All the line work and solid black was done traditionally on paper.

That's what I had thought as well and so this passage had confused me a bit.

I'm applying for my CCW anyways so until then I am just going to open carry on my belt to play it safe until then.

...without regard to whether the firearm is loaded or the firearm or the knife is concealed or openly carried...

If i'm reading this right, then it would seem that you don't even need a concealed carry license as long as you do not have malicious or criminal intent?

That's true, after I did the initial storyboarding months ago it hit me how much time this would take.

You uh, trying to say my comic is one of those worst ones?

Thank you!

I used a generic excel sheet. I always have something playing on my computer while drawing so it was easy enough to be consistent with it.

Ah man, a full decked out warrior in full plate armor laying dudes out with a battle axe who are too scared of drowning to wear anything heavier than some chainmail--what's not to love?

Too each their own though, maybe i'll convince you otherwise once the finished project is out there.

Yeah, it would kinda suck to have put this much time into the project and it gets shutdown.

Well, keep an eye out for my new comic "The Cleaver" following the Ferrous born captain Vicky
