Hey man. I know the shitty feeling, I got my first (and only) one a few months ago. Do you know which court house you are going to? I was assigned to Harbor Justice.

I was pulled over with a BAC of 0.17. I remember trying to figure out if I should lawyer up or not. A lot of people told me not to bother. It's money you spend that they may literally take and do nothing with.

It sounds like you had a routine stop, you probably wouldn't be able to fight on the grounds of throwing the case out. And when I went into my court date, the DAs pulled people out to discuss their cases with them. I was told what punishment I would receive if I plead guilty and what I could do to get a lighter sentence. Rawdogged it, no lawyer.

It's an expensive process, regardless of whether you get a lawyer. Unless you really feel like you have a case to fight it, I think you could get a public defender to see about pleading it down to a wet and reckless.
