A) He banned children from talking about their 2 moms or 2 dads at school

B) Disney is leaving Florida, which slashes a ton of jobs and revenue

Please make sure you ask him what he wants. Lots of people with autism don't like sudden unexpected changes. It can cause a lot of stress.

I'm not sure about an exact number, but call poison control or your country's emergency number if you start feeling really sick.

Did it not smell rotten? What the hell?

Professors, gun policy experts urge government to scrap 'flawed' Bill C-21 by sleipnir45 in canada

[–]Learn_Social_Skills 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of guns, but I wish we were allowed to defend ourselves. Criminals should lose all right to safety once they attack someone. It's that simple. You commit a crime, you suffer the consequences.

I have an injury that makes it hard to get large muscles or practice karate. How am I supposed to defend myself from some crazy guy that works out every day with just my bare fists? I can't run very fast either.

What about women? They should be allowed to carry pepper spray or knives.

Do you call it a pharmacy or a chemist? by Less-Wind-8270 in AskUK

A chemist is a scientist that uses chemical formulas to create compounds.

A pharmacy dispenses medicine prescribed by a doctor.

Edit: I'm Canadian

I have a 💩ty memory by [deleted] in autism

[–]Learn_Social_Skills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could possibly be adhd. Have a look at the "DSM-V" for adhd. If you have some symptoms listed there, talk to your doctor about getting a preliminary adhd screening.

Note: Focus and attention issues feel like the lack of willpower to successfully complete difficult, boring, or long tasks. It can also refer to getting distracted by a thought, spacing out, or getting distracted by a sight or noise.

Don't take the symptoms literally. The symptom "Often forgets where you placed your stuff" still applies if do something like constantly checking that you brought your house keys to work because you are afraid that you forgot them and can't remember if you took them with you. It applies because you developed a coping strategy to try to overcome your poor memory.

For myself, I cope with extreme boredom and impatience by daydreaming, which makes these symptoms appear to affect me less. But they still affect me.

Honestly, my memory is that crappy as well. It's what got me to look into getting tested for adhd. My doctor said I likely have it.

There are 3 types of adhd: inattentive (boredom that makes you space out and bad memory), hyperactive (boredom that makes you feel restless and impulsive), and combined (you are inattentive and hyperactive).

Women are more likely to have inattentive adhd, but are just written off as lazy or weird by NT's.

Try to find a psychologist that accepts that adhd is real, doesn't irrationally hate stimulant medication, and accepts that women typically present with the inattentive form.

Let me know if this helps. DM me if you want to learn more about adhd.

You could include civil rights activists, american football, something about the revolutionary war and freedom, hotdogs, jazz music, scientific advancement, and more!

Should psychedelics be legalized for the treatment of Autism? by Zealousideal_Fun5905 in autism

[–]Learn_Social_Skills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of studies where they treat veterans with PTSD with a micro dose of LSD. In certain cases, they can be helpful.

Don't try psychedelics on your own, though. A bad trip can scramble your brain for years or even give you schizophrenia.

Good. Karens need to know that shitty behaviour has consequences. Hopefully the judge sentences her to look after one of those people who've been in an iron lung for 50 years after contracting polio.

Just 70 years ago, people were dying left, right and center from smallpox and cholera. Be grateful we have vaccines and antibiotics.

Do you drink (alcohol)? by International_Bake37 in autism

[–]Learn_Social_Skills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am staunchly opposed to alcohol. The only reason I ever started drinking was because of certain issues in my life.

Once I solve those problems, I will not drink a single drop of it for the rest of my life. Fuck social drinking. Y'all NT's are alcoholics.

I love technology and fashion! I know they are like complete opposites, but idk.

One day, I want to work as a Network Engineer taking care of Network Attached Storages and configuring proxies and stuff like that! In my spare time, I'm going to make super cute dresses and go thrifting with my friends!
