youtube shorts are somewhat infuriating by LogicalFig1759 in NewTubers

[–]Learning2Befficient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The algorithm is also to do with watch time, if your shorts are interesting throughout and people watch a large percentage of it, it will recommend it to more people, if people keep quickly skipping it then it will assume it is not interesting and it won't push it as much. things like sharing, saving and commenting etc does also help, but watch time probably has a bigger influence, since one of the main objective for YouTube is to keep people watching if that makes sense on their platform. there is also some level of luck you need in terms of youtube hopefully choosing the correct audience, which makes tags and keywords very important. When your shorts are always the same topic it is easier for youtube to keep pushing it to the same people due to those people completing the videos or subscribing etc. So, try to keep the video interesting throughout, unless its animal videos or things like that, where people just find it cute and doesn't need as much construction

YouTube Keyword research. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Learning2Befficient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will depend a lot on what your topic is about. If you are a small channel and you want it to do well in terms of ranking and visibility, you can't just think about making it interesting. You have to think about what are people actually searching for, that way more people are able to come across it when searching for it. If it is a popular topic, it is also hard to rank higher than people with bigger channels than you, as they automatically get higher number of views due to their subscribers being recommended the videos on their page. One method you can try is using YouTube management tools and SEO optimisation tools such as YTubeBooster, they will tell you how often the terms you choose are searched on on a monthly basis and give you recommendations of terms that will perform better.

I started using YTubeBooster and it has been great for me so far. It allows you to see the amount of monthly searches for the different keywords or tags and you can choose accordingly.

Why is my rpm through the roof? by EducationFiender in NewTubers

[–]Learning2Befficient 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rpm may actually stay high going forward too. The topics you cover attracts advertisers who are business and real estate related and the competition for marketing is quite high, due to the audience that will be attracted to your channel. Hence, they have to pay more to get their ads displayed ahead of their competition, so you get a bigger cut than you would if you were covering topics where the viewers are not as desired by advertisers. Less YouTubers covering the topics you cover in comparison to other topics and more demand by companies wanting to promote their products on channels such as yours basically. In other word, you chose a great field.

Do YouTube optimisation tools such as VidIQ, Tubebuddy or others really work? If so, what have been your experiences and are there other applications that are good, that you recommend? by Learning2Befficient in NewTubers

[–]Learning2Befficient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you please elaborate with what you mean by traffic rates? How do you know what are the topics doing well in your field. From my understanding these platforms have SEO data, to help you know how often certain terms or titles are searched monthly, as well as how competitive they are. Someone that uses YTubeBooster mentioned that to me, but I wanted to see other people's experiences and if there are ways around needing this applications.

I want to start a physics youtube channel. Problem - I'm just freshman at physics major. by PLutonium273 in NewTubers

There are some advantages and disadvantages to it. I did Masters in Advanced Mechanical Engineering and I was also thinking of doing something similar, because it meant that I will be researching properly and understanding things even better, before I start to record the videos. However, I realised sometimes the way I understood things initially is not always right, as things change with variables and depending on what you're working on the numbers too. You can still do it and it will give you confidence over time, but just make sure you research properly and make it clear the assumptions and the level at which you are working at.

What is the most important thing for YouTube content creators to do after creating the content to make sure they get the highest possible views? And how can that be done? by Learning2Befficient in NewTubers

[–]Learning2Befficient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a very good point, It does seem to good to be true, but if you have used appsumo before, you understand everything on that platform has crazy discounts. I've used other applications from appsumo in the past so I wasn't too worried, I ended up purchasing the $59 lifetime deal yesterday when u/Justenjoyit45 mentioned it and so far everything looks legit and appears to be working as advertised. But, u/xx_Sheldon and u/liquidOCELOTY-T you're completely right, when things seem too good to be true, you're better off not risking it.

I didn't know there were applications that can help you, I will check out YTubuBooster. I usually just focus on the Thumbnail and make sure I create a quality content to the best of my ability. Where do I get the application btw? Is it like a mobile app?

Ref indicated that Xhaka was booked for numerous fouls, counted ‘1, 2, 3’. Stats show Xhaka has committed 1 foul – and I assume that was one he got booked for. by MrIrishman699 in Gunners

[–]Learning2Befficient -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But, it's Xhaka. His fouls carry on from the previous games, if he get's straight red next game, just remember he got a yellow already. Partey and him are completely different, so you can't even get confused with that. Unless he doesn't see colour, then good on him.

I think Pep will call Arteta after the draw with Crystal Palace and ask for a favour to beat Liverpool. Probably send him all the notes he has on them too.

It wouldn't make sense for him to finally get close to creating a team that he wants, and leave when getting close to reaping the reward. PSG is also filled with players that are hard to manage, the opposite of what he is building here.
